Kubrat Pulev - Michael Hunter October 4th (according to Don King)

I remember King winning the purse bid a few months ago… haven’t been following too closely , but has Hunter already been pulled from the Miller fight?

I saw a Dana white press conference a day or so ago, and he said he had no clue about the situation and would allow the lawyers to handle it

King threatened to sue over the Miller fight and then announced this. Nobody really knows what will happen.

The whole thing is a joke anyway. Three WBA "champions" per weight class again. Just abolish the WBA and be done with it.

I don’t think they’re fighting again on this card, likely in separate tune-up bouts, then possibly a rematch, but I’d imagine they’ll pursue fights with Rolly & Barrios before a rematch.

King has them tied up, so who knows.

Broner posted the next 4 years of his life are dedicated to boxing, so big things coming.

Feel like he said that in 2022 as well. Bro is 36.....I remember when he won his title at 130 and was 22 and young

Guy had potential to become a huge star, even after the Maidana loss

Utterly ridiculous. The winner of this was supposed to face the Wardley - Huni winner but Wardley will probably have another fight organised by the time this takes place. There will be three heavyweight belts in circulation until Usyk retires probably.

You cant abolish them per say in the way you are saying. You would have to personally stop recognizing their champions and hope others do too. Good luck.

The Association of Boxing Commissions threatened to withdraw recognition of the WBA following the Maestre - Fox scoring scandal in 2021: Association of Boxing Commissions Addresses Numerous Concerns With WBA

This precipitated the 'title reduction plan'. If the ABC actually followed through the next time it would probably finish the WBA as a business, with the US its main market.
