I finished 3rd one year I believe & Freedom never finished that high so I put a screenshot of the standings with my name in bold above his on my signature here I believe. There was alot more than 20 people on that pick'em so 3rd was an accomplishment for me since I only watch heavyweights. I just analyzed boxingrecwith other weightclasses. Some of my picks included both Thompson over Price fights, called the Banks fight over Seth Mitchell & Picked Banks to draw with Jason Gavern. That was my best pick ever but can't recall if that fight was apart of it. I got like every HW fight correct & it was 12 months not 3 seasons of 4 months... The Gavern/Banks draw was my best pick & i also called the Leapai over Boytsov fight too... My boxingscene prime was the year I got voted "Boxingscenes most hated Poster"... One poster commented that a lot of people are phonies but that Joe Strong is the real deal... A diplorable human being who takes pride in being a real dirtbag. He's white trash & proud... I miss those good ol' days... Where is Anorek & The Points Giver when you need them? I loved riding the Klitschko nuthuggers...

DUH. Not even black....if you can't speak english as the HW Champ you might as well not even exist in the eyes of casuals.

That’s an interesting take. I think boxing has always been shaped by its champions regardless of background, but representation does matter. A strong, charismatic Black heavyweight champion could definitely bring new energy, media attention, and fan interest to the sport. At the same time, it’s important to focus on skill, dedication, and legacy rather than only identity—because that’s what truly keeps boxing alive.Comment

Here’s the good news: nothing has really changed. You can experience it yourself—Black Americans at the top, white Americans at the bottom on boxrec's HW rankings. Subtract all the international talent, and you’ll find the same combos you had in the ’90s, ’80s, ’70s, etc., back when Eastern European fighters were banned from pro boxing.
The term “Great White Hope” was specifically invented for white Americans because of how mentally castrated they were by their Black counterparts. It originated in the early 20th century, around 1910–1911, during the reign of Jack Johnson, the first Black world heavyweight boxing champion.
Nobody cares about the “Great White Hope” concept outside of America because they don’t need “hope". White american atheletes do. They need hope in MMA, in boxing, even in Basketball. I guess Cooper Flagg would perfectly fit that description. (Jokic doesn't count since he's not white american). There hasn't been a great white american player since Larry Bird or John Stockton.Comment

Naw, I think a White American would probably turn more heads to boxing. He'd be like the Caitlyn Clark of Boxing. Hated on by blacks, revered by whites. Racist Hispanics that think theyre white will pretend to like the white champ cuz they dont like blacks and black supremacists will still say racist stuff about Mexicans when we aren't involved.
It'd just be another day on boxingscene.Comment
