Fantastic journey down memory lane. Fury/Wilder1 was such a huge spectacle, starting with Wilder's appearance at the Fury/Pianetta 'fight'. The Wilder/Billy Joe Sanders near brawl, John Fury screaming at Wilder ringside, and as reported the tantalizing play of 'Sweet Alabama' for Fury's ringwalk. The three pre-fight press conferences where Fury stole the show, showing a bravado that was completely dismissive of Wilder. This article really brought back the memories of just how all consuming pre-fight week for big time heavyweight championship boxing can be. The fight, especially considering all the Fury background story and Wilder's massive ko ability. was truly mesmerizing, culminating in boxing's most famous 12th round resurrection. It was the heavyweight king of Monday morning water cooler boxing conversations. Thankyou, fun reminder of a truly unique once in a lifetime pre, post, and in-fight larger than life boxing spectacle.

I never thought Fury had a chance of coming back after seeing how big he got and raspy his voice got. So to even get back into shape amd back fighting was a huge win. Then to take the Wilder fight within a few months of his comeback. No ome thought he would, even his team and Frank had said they preferred more fights first. He made it happen. Shows these big fighters can force their promoters to make big fights even if the promoters are the ones wanting to marinate them for years first. Same goes for R Garcia, Tank fight happened cause he demanded it, Oscar and his team didn't really want it, they had a big name and star power usually they don't want to risk big fights too early. A lot of others fighters need to do the same. Matchroom advised Boots not to take Ortiz fight now advising to take an easier opponent. He all ready has 30+ fights he should be demanding his promoter give him the big names or title shot at 154 straight away

Even though it was dragged out longer than it needed to be, its hard to deny that it was a very entertaining rivalry and every fight of the trilogy was good.

Almost nothing happened for the first six rounds of this fight. The third fight was much more entertaining.

This trilogy and specifically the first 2 fights and fury and wilders press conferences really made me fall in love with boxing, fury was hell good on the mic, entertains asf especially his old interviews. Went down the rabbit hole there. Used to get home pissed all the time and chuck the first 2 fights on.
