Kathy Duva has been trying to make Murtazaliev vs Fundora in forever. Fundora's team believe there are winnable lucrative fights without the same risk. Sampson Lewkowicz in particular doesn't want it. Sampson says one thing and does another, he's still eyeing Keith Thurman, Spence or anyone in house with a name.

Fundora and his team are afraid he'll lose that belt to Murtazaliev. Thurman and Spence! I don't see those fights as being very lucrative. Sure, Fundora will make a million or two vs them, but likely not much more.

Of course you're entitled to your own opinion but in reality, most fighters, including Americans, avoid Eastern Euro fighters for as long as possible. As a mater of fact, there are serious doubts that Lubin will even take the fight with Murtazaliev.

Let's see how deep her pockets are. Purse bid should be under 200k. She should have that. Probox should also have that if they actually want the fight.

Sad state of affairs... Murderzaliev can't get any love.

Fundora will be heavenly favored in both multi-million dollar fights and still have the belt and the opportunity to fight in the future. There is talk of him fighting Xander and that may happen but IMO, he won't fight any of the killers at Jr Middle, Sampson will instead move Fundora up to middleweight and take on a weaker, older, belt holder

At one point the step aside money made Murderzaliev look vulnrable but the beating he put on Tim Tszyu changed all that. Today, nobody wants to fight Murderzaliev, It's gotten so bad that Murderzaliev's team is asking Turki to put up the money for Lubin. Ortiz was offered to fight Murderzaliev and so was Kelly and both said no, it's worse then people think.

I agree that Fundora will be heavily favored vs old, far-removed Thurman and brain damaged Spence, hence the limited revenue from fighting them. I mean, who's going to pay $80 for PPV to watch Sebastian Fundora vs either of them? Let alone thousands for ringside seats? Zayas is inexperienced enough for Fundora to take a chance with him. I also agree that he'll ride the wave of mediocrity for as long as possible.

I think Thurman will be fighting Vergil Ortiz Jr., just about as useless as this fight!

So why doesn't Bak and Serhii Bohachuk just meet up. Vergil just beat two Eastern Euros Bahachuck and Madrimov.
