I'm bummed out. I thought he was going to wait for Bam at 118.

Why on earth would he do that? Bam would likely knock him out and then no Inoue paycheck for Nakatani.

There won't be a trilogy, Inoue is going to destroy him in the first fight.

Nakatani gets hit. A lot. And Inoue hits considerably harder than guys like Nishida, Moloney, Santiago, or Yabuki.

Nakatani doesn't need to clean sweep the bantamweight division, it would had been nice if he actually attempted to fight Tsutsumi or Takei. He has solid nice resume having wins over Moloney, Yabuki, Santiago and Nishida, but Junto doesn't have a exceptional run per division alone.

Wouldn't say Nakatani be rated as a top 10 bantamweight historically and doesn't have to say he give a bantamweight great a run for his money, but it does seem like a wasted opportunity. Where in contrast I could say Bam and Inoue have a argument in their current division, at least if Rodriguez beats Martinez and becomes undisputed to seal the deal. He be rated as a top Super Flyweight historically.

Inoue has beaten multiple accomplished Super Bantamweight champions like Doheny, Tapales, Nery, Fulton, Donaire, and Akhmadaliev if he wins in his next bout. He is also undisputed there.
