As far as I know Mr. Honda of Teiken Promotions who is both Bam's and Junto's co-promoter didn't make this fight. Neither fighter ducked each other.

You are flat out wrong. Bam was offered the fight, accepted, and Nakatani turned it down:

        No
Junto said he wanted the fight, but Honda turned it down. Not because he was afraid of anything. But because the real claim to fame, money fight is vs Inoue.
        Robert Garcia said so.

If they thought Nakatani could beat Bam they'd take the fight, because Bam would be a better payday than whomever Nakatani fights next and because a win over Bam would make the Inoue fight that much bigger.

Nakatani ducked Bam. That's what happened.

Here we go with "ducking" a fighter in another division. Nakatani's had 5 fights at 118. Even at the lower divisions, not smart to move back down, especially if the plan is to move up to 122 relatively soon. Not Junto's fault Bam decided to move down to 112 for a couple fights while he was still at 115.

nobody ducked at 115. promoters decided that move up (junto) and down (bam) at the same time. remember, bam wanted hiroto kyoguchi at 108 for some time when suddenly he recieved an offer to fight cuadras on short notice. then sor rungvisai was an immediate mandatory because he was actually wbc #1 when ssr-cuadras 2 was scheduled. zero ducking and cherrypicking. kid did it the hard way. in fact, i expected him to go 2 divisions down for kenshiro but he decided to go to 112.

having said that, i wanted junto - bam the most in boxing for a couple of years. now it will never happen. at least not in their prime. naoya - junto won't be in their prime either. naoya will be 33 which is old.

                No, you're wrong.

Nakatani’s team was okay with the fight,” explained Robert Garcia, Rodriguez’s career-long manager and trainer. “I have a text message from Mr. Honda telling me that [Teiken] did not want the fight. I do not want to say that Nakatani rejected the fight. I talked to his team, his trainer Rudy Hernandez - we’re very good friends.

“So, I don’t want to say that Nakatani rejected the fight. I think it was more Mr. Honda didn’t want the fight between his two fighters, same with “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Bam as far as his two fighters facing each other.”

It's written as clear as day.
Nakatani said yes. Teiken said no.

By the way unrelated but I had read that there is rumors of Luis Nery fighting John Riel Casimero.

Nery has 5 fight deal in Japan, I think that if Nery beats Casimero, Nakatani vs Nery might be in the plans at Super Bantamweight. Quite a interesting fight considering both are near the same age, both are heavy handed, and both are southpaws.

Well bam would need to move up for that and he himself knows he gets crushed that's when reporters ask him about the fight he says it's 6 years away lol.
