Put the cig down, get off the couch right now, and go try to run just one mile, and post your results on boxingscene.
How would you know the temperature of a polar bear's nut sack? And what makes you think everyone posting on this website is a fat smoking unhealthy individual? How about you post your receipt for the PPV right here.

He was a top heavyweight. Hopefully Ike and Danny, if medically cleared, can make some good money and not take much punishment.

I guess it's obvious why Ike wants to fight. I know he's done wrong but I wouldn't begrudge him earning some money.

It's just a shame that I can't possibly help him out by supporting this. Boxing is treading a very dangerous path at the moment. There's going be a terrible tragedy at some point that is wholly foreseeable and avoidable.

He has some what a name recognition but in reality too much can't be expected from him and like you mentioned it is a matter of time that someone will get seriously hurt trying to come back or fighting at such an advanced age. I really have nothing against him and hope that he has learned from his mistakes.

I exercise regularly, do not smoke, and am 100% fine with worrying about the health of people I have never met. If I see a drunk person about to drive, I say something. If I see someone having trouble breathing, I drop what I am doing and check on them with 9-1-1 ready to be dialed if they need it. If I see a friend or family member depressed, I take the time to sit with them and listen. When I see 2 ancient warriors crawling into the ring when it is obvious no good will come out of it I can be disgusted, worry about these total strangers health, and roll my eyes at ignorant comments like yours. My advice is if you hang out at a busy street corner long enough, you can record some kind of violent attack or see a massive car wreck that hopefully will provide you with a bloodied up victim you can than share on social media for free. You do not have to spend 30 dollars for this hoping to see someone have a major medical event in the boxing ring.

I guess I understand it for Ike - first the money of course. And he can probably convince himself he is "well preserved" given he hasn't been active in years. Still 52 though.

Williams definitely shouldn't be involved though. Can

You don't understand boxing. U may understand it as a viewer. Boxing is like this: it's violent, but it's a science. Anyone young or old.can die from a punch. That's already understood by anyone who steps in the ring, so it takes a certain breed of human to walk those steps. And if you've never gloved up before, you shouldn't sit back in your armchair and tell a warrior what they should be doing. It's just wrong. Boxers are not regular folks. They don't need to be mothered. They don't need you worrying for them, especially if you can't run one mile, do 50 push ups, slip one punch, or take 1 punch to the face without crying ,or going to sleep. Because you can't understand the motivation and you don't know what it takes. So either watch them box and be quiet, or go play video games and drink some warm beer. This ain't the 1st time warriors in their 50's have boxed. Archie Moore, Hopkins and others still boxed regularly past age 50, Same for Larry Holmes, Roberto Duran, Saoul Mamby boxed in his 60's. James Toney recently boxed Razor Ruddock. They didn't get killed. And if they had, at least it would be doing what they loved. We're all going to die at some point, so stop parenting grown ass men who could easily beat your ass

Nope. I understand boxing well. To assume I do not based on having an opinion different from yours just shows how closed minded you are. You obviously are just happy in your world of Rocky movies and stories of gladiators in Hollywood: "If they die, they die", completely ignoring that these are humans who think they have nothing else to offer but to fling their bodies and health to the delight of the public. Since I love boxing, I realize I may be a tad hypocritical at times. There is a line with every athlete where what they do is diminishing returns. I will admit it is different with each athlete, in each sport. But long after boxers are out of the public eye, they and their families have to deal with the life altering aftereffects of this sport. This fight should not be sanctioned in any country for any reason. You do not care. More power to you. Watch and enjoy the shell of these two men fight. And all your condescending comments to everyone "go watch video games" and the insults your are throwing around just show you are unlikely to come into any of these conversations open minded to the fact you could be wrong.

One of these guys could be carried out on a stretcher and never recover and I feel you would somehow twist it to somehow say say it proves your point and all of us that would rather err on the side of safety were wrong. Go do you.

Landotter, they're the same age and both have been out of the ring, so the rust factor is equal for both. So I love the match up and I'll be watching for sure with much interest. Forensic files, Cops, 90 day Fiance, Bridezilla, paranormal ghosts stories, and conspiracy theories will all be on that same night, so don't worry you'll have plenty to watch instead.
