Who did Tyson ever beat? His resume is pretty bad.

That doesn't change the fact that the count went over.

We can't ignore truth for narratives

I haven't checked this properly, but I think Tim was before Tyson, when Mike started his hey days Tim was winding down, he has lost to Holmes, Pinklon Thomas and Bone Crush Smith which by the way Mike beat them, and took the belts from Thomas and Smith. He fought in 91 and went to jail, his next fight was in 95, and even in 91 he wasn't the Mike of the 80's, Cus and Jacob's were dead, the only person he could have trust was white, Jacob's partner and Don King took care of that poisoning Tyson against Bill Cayton. Once King took over his days were numbered.

They were close fights that Larry lost

Both of them could have gone either way is the point.

Especially the second one which 42 out of the 46 press row writers scored it for Holmes.
No they couldn't have Spinks won both fights

What would be Tyson's equivalent rivals? Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis? He fought 2 of them and lost 3 times, once in disgrace.

I cant see AJ, Fury or even Usyk beating Lennox. AJ isnt beating Holyfield either, Fury at his absolute best might have a shot and Usyk/Holyfield is a 50/50 imo. Bowe when he was on form beats at least AJ and Fury too. Honestly I could see guys like Ruddock, Tucker and Bruno being a serious threat to AJ and possibly Fury if he wasnt on peak form as well.

I think you had to be a better fighter in the 90s (and even 80s although its not looked upon too kindly) to achieve what AJ and Fury managed to achieve in this era. So it isnt fully reflective of their actual abilities as fighters. AJ especially is completely workmanlike and average, Fury has talent but is undisciplined and inconsistent, Usyk is admittedly a genuine ATG though and probably elite in any era.
