Eddie Hearn is a terrible matchmaker. What does this fight do for Allen exactly.
He's not getting near a world title fight in a million years, so you need to max his commercial value, "oh I know let's put him in with a big dumb ugly Russian who looks like a giant inbred baby, who nobody knows, that will splatter him"

Dreadful matchmaking. Almost no chance of winning it, very little reward if he pulled off a major surprise as very few outside of hardcore boxing fans know who he is, and he'll almost certainly lose. Clueless. Nash out - His Majesty
Before the Russian Goliath was felled twice this looked like a mismatch but Big Mak has looked like an off balance punch bag and Allen looks like he is peaking so maybe he has chance in this one.
Historically speaking every time Dave Allen has stepped up he has been flattened like bug or lost a wide points loss.

This is all very true. I think very few of us expected Guido Vianello to stop Big Mak. His punch resistance looks compromised. That being said, I remember when Hearn matched Allen with Pricey expecting the same thing....
