Not sure how he became a person of interest when it came to May.
Margacheato had to be the least impressive of all the boogeymen.
That's only because Floyd ducked him

If Margarito hit that hard to inflict that kind of damage he did in the first fight he would’ve had one punch KO power which he didn’t. Imagine the mental advantage you have knowing you just have to sustain the other fighters punches and eventually your plaster wrapped punches will break them down. Reminds me of how meldrick Taylor looked after the Chavez fight another guy I’d bet money that used plaster.

As we all lived to witness, nothing became of your favorite boogeyman.

Speaking specifically about the rematch, cotto was about to get stopped again, is what it seemed and felt like. You’re lying to yourself if you saw it otherwise… oh and cotto was winning every round of the first one too! And what happened? Cmon bro, as a man and competitor, cotto should have demanded that third! Straight up! But he didn’t and only he knows why
You’re the one lying to yourself if you think Margarito was going to stop Cotto in that rematch. There was nothing that indicated that as Margarito was still losing nearly every round, including the round it was stopped, Cotto wasn’t taking anywhere near the same punishment as the first fight, and was easily outboxing him. Very different from the first fight when you saw Cotto gradually being broken down by the 5th rounds. You’re likely looking at it through biased eyes to try and salvage what everyone else knows was a disgrace to boxing. You also make now sense saying Cotto should have demanded a trilogy when there was no reason to. The fight wasn’t close, he closed the chapter and had a fight with mayweather lined up next. He then also went on to big fights with Martinez and Canelo. Why would he be looking to further avenge a win that no one outside of a small demographic of Mexican American fans would ask for. And even most of them knew the truth.

He was cheating. Mosley later exposed him and beat him. Pacquiao broke his worthless ****** face.
What he did in the Cotto fight was criminal. He was probably also doping considering the beating he'd taken all night long.

I really only remember the rematch. Cotto was on fire in that thing. Margarito willed his body to fight, it just did not respond. Cotto was after him with extreme prejudice and the crowd was electric for him.

The narrative afterwards was "justice was done". If I was Margarito, I would have gone radio silent as well.

The night of the Mosley fight, the illegal wrap had an identical blood stain from the very night he fought Cotto.

It's quite obvious Margarito had been using those wraps for some time. I believe he had them in the Paul Williams fight as well, but it wasn't enough. Probably Cintron, too.
