He's 16 fights into his career and he has no quality opponents. Angelo Leo and Rafael Espinoza would fold him up like a cheap lawnchair.

I guess nothing is impossible and who knows maybe he does become a legend one day, but frankly I am genuinely wondering exactly what you saw in his performance against Heita today (which wasn't that impressive to begin with) that gave you such high hopes for a guy who is 28 yrs old already.

Nowadays with luck and emails and vacant belts it isn't impossible, but of the current four beltholders I don't see him having a great chance at any of them.

His best chance is to hope the winner of Vargas vs Castro comes out of that fight damaged and vulnerable. Vargas could be washed already and Castro has been in some wars himself.

He has absolutely nothing for the likes of Leo, Espinoza, Ball, or Inoue.

I think Carrington has pretty good odds against Nick Ball, really durable and aggressive fighter, but not necessarily the biggest puncher. These qualities and style benefit Carrington if he learns from his recent bout. Ball could steamroll him if he manages to catch Bruce though. So far, Ball hasn't looked as great as he did with Vargas and Ford. Could be off performances since he might perform depending of the level of his opposition like Leo, but he hasn't looked as great. If he did, I think it be guaranteed that he would eventually catch the latest version of Carrington.

Angelo Leo is a versatile fighter, I see it being a pretty even fight until Leo has a lead late in the fight in the scorecards. As Leo is less prone to getting countered and is the more consistent of the two. Leo isn't the most exciting to watch for me, but he is a smart fighter and is consistent from round 1 to 12 like Divino is.

Espinoza is a stylistic nightmare for a textbook fighter, Carrington will struggle pulling out of range and receive punches from unexpected angles. Even if Carrington landed a solid counter, he likely receive 2-3 more punches in exchange if it's Espinoza.

As for Vargas, likelihood is he is washed, if you seen inactive fighters coming back without conditioning, you see someone like Figueroa who doesn't look as great as he did before he got bloated, looked sloppy and fatigued. Castro is a winnable fight, but a dangerous one that is low reward without the belt. Thought he beat Fulton and gave Figueroa a tough bout before getting stopped. I seen his split decision loss to Nery, but honestly I thought Nery won convincingly.

Might not be world champion long term if he did get the WBC-WBO titles, pretty solid contender though. He might get some notable wins even if he lost. None of the featherweights are feather fisted despite the weight class being featherweight, so tough competition Bruce has.

Carrington's quality of opposition has been absolutely horrible so far. I just don't see him being able to hang with even top 5 level guys, let alone the top 2 or 3.
