Fair assessment though I am put off on ranking him so high because of that period after he fought Hatton and before Marquez where 147 was hot and Floyd was just MIA. After the Marquez fight for him and after the Cotto fight for Pac would have been the best time for them to fight.

I don’t think you can blame Floyd. He made the man multiple offers that he turned down. That horse has been beaten to death so we don’t need to discuss here.

They weren’t willing to fight the Pretty Boy but jumped at the chance to fight Money Mayweather. The question is what made them change their minds?

8 world titles in 8 divisions and scaring Mayweather to duck him for six years is Goatness. Floyd only fought Pac because the head of CBS Showtime forced him into it. Otherwise Floyd intended to duck Pac forever.

Cotto vs Floyd HBO unification was set perfect in 2008 but Floyd ran away. Floyd ran from Pac for six years, only to finally be forced into it by the head of CBS Showtime. Floyd ran from Margarito and $8m and then picked Baldomir a year later, costing himself the extra $8m. Floyd ran when Golovkin accepted his challenge that he could beat anyone from 154 on down. Floyd ran from Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez. Floyd is still running from the Pac rematch. Floyd ran from Thurman and picked Berto instead. Floyd even brags on video that he's a coward and being a coward is why he got so rich from boxing. Too many blemishes on his legacy for Floyd to be in the goat discussion. He was just a protected fraud pretender masquerading as an ATG with the protection of the establishment which needed a black american star to sell during his career.
