  • Analysis: Parker's wins against Wilder, Zhang, and Bakole

Wilder - old, didn't throw a punch, a shadow of his former self. Parker couldn't even put him down and only had one good flurry the entire match in a boring low volume affair.

Zhang - ancient, zero stamina, still put Parker down twice. Parker couldn't put Zhang down and Kabayel had him down and knocked out after about five rounds. Stunk his way to a victory in a low volume match.

Bakole - two days' notice, fat as a pot belly pig, no sleep and therefore zero punch resistance. This was Parker's best KO win since about Botha, let that sink in!

All I hear is how Parker is now letting his hands go under Andy Lee. If that's the case then why were his two marquee wins (over these old men in which he couldn't put a dent in either) low volume and much lower volume than his loss to Joyce, who he now says he was ill against (Parker makes excuses every time he loses)

Parker is getting way overhyped. The Wilder from the Fury trilogy splatters Parker all over the ring. Joyce battered Parker and Chisora battered him in the first fight and got robbed. Nash out - His Majesty

Parker beats all three of those at any time of any of their careers.

He's a very good all round fighter. Decent movement, decent size, decent stamina, decent toughness, decent everything. Nothing exceptional, just decent all round.

He was exactly that when he was written off a few years ago and he's still that when he's being praised a few years later.

        Boxing fans are fickle.

One can go and nitpick every win and loss on any fighter's resume. As Toffee states, Parker has always been decent, I do think he's become a better fighter under Lee and fights with more conviction and purpose than under his previous trainer.

I'm not sure that people are overrating him but he's one of the remaining contenders who hasn't been beaten by Usyk. Does he beat Usyk? Very unlikely. Can he beat any of the others? Decent possibility.
