So the market dictates that Jake Paul gets paid $20 million plus a fight. He def is worth that as a pro boxer, no?
Two, and this is more important, Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, Mikey Garcia, And Crawford ALL left Top Rank because they ALL said they were underpaid by Bob. They ALL made more money fighting for someone else or themselves. Pacqiao also wanted to leave Top Rank but Bob threatened to sue him.
So, riddle me this, why exactly did these guys leave Top Rank? They ALL stated Bob was underpaying them. They ALL made more money without Bob.

The left because they were underpaid and as soon as they left they ALL made three times what Bob was paying them.
Bob told Floyd he can only pay him $10 million vs Oscar. Floyd left and made $25 million.
Cotto made three times fighting Floyd compared to what Bob was offering.
We are either going to believe the fighters that said they were being underpaidComment

Turning them into stars is one thing and underpaying them is another.
After Jim Carrey made the The Mask, the studio wanted to do a sequel and offered him a million dollars. The Mask was a colossal hit so he asked for $7 million which they could have paid, they refused. Jim said ok, find someone else to do it. They did and it was a colossal flop.
So yeah, the studio made him a star but he carried all his movies in the late 90’s and 2000”s so he was asking for what was fair.
So, Bob could have paid them more and he would have still made money but he is a greedy pig.
Do you think Bob made Loma into a star? The answer is no. Loma is a huge star with the Ukrainian community just like Golota was with the Polish community just like Prince Naseem was with the Arab community. They got paid accordingly and stayed with their promoters.
When you have a global icon (PAC) wahting to leave for the same reason. You are the problem.

Why do you think BOXERS are still signing with them. The likes of Beterbiev who left PBC and now is a Star. Tyson Fury came to Top Rank, INOUE joined Top Rank. If Top Rank was so greedy you wouldn't be seeing this types of Fighters signing with them.Last edited by boxingitis; 07-19-2025, 11:51 PM.Comment

Name another promotional company that has made more Stars than Top Rank. Ill wait.

When you say “I’ll wait”, what exactly does that mean? You assume I don’t have a response?
Guys like Fury and Inoue are already superstars in their home countries so they can negotiate a bigger slice of the pie when they join Top Rank.
When you are a struggling boxer trying to make a name for yourself then of course you’ll go to Top Rank.
Using the same example I used, Floyd made $25 million facing Oscar. Bob offered him $10. That means Bob was going to pocket aka the other $15 million. Can you explain how Floyd made more than twice what Bob was offering?

https://www.espn.com/sports/boxing/n...ory?id=2865349
"De La Hoya was guaranteed $23.3 million and Mayweather $10 million for the fight. With the overwhelming success of the event, De La Hoya could take home upwards of $50 million with Mayweather earning around $20 million."

If Bob was Greedy, New Talent and Established Fighters wouldn't sing with him. Make up your mind of who he is taking advantage of. He has to keep market price in order to compete with other promoters. DIDN'T Crawford resing with Bob instead of PBC when his contract expired the first time? That means he is paying them well enough to stay. Why didn't Beterbiev stay with PBC if Bob is Greedy. Why didn't Mungia stay with Golden Boy or go to another Promoter other than Top Rank? Lets here your excuse.Last edited by boxingitis; 07-21-2025, 07:47 PM.Comment
