Olympic gold medal. Perfect record as a pro. Unbeaten undisputed cruiserweight champion. Unbeaten undisputed heavyweight champion. He totally cleaned out two divisions and is still going strong at 38. Never seen hurt, never knocked down. This ring genius with the most multi dimensional style we ever saw just keeps beating everyone, bigger, smaller, stronger, longer, whatever, they all get beaten the same. He beat everyone he had to beat, everyone in his era. There is no such thing as a weak era, the perception of eras is what varies. Every era is as strong as the other. Usyk is unbeatable. I am confident he would figure out and solve any style in history including Ali, Lennox, Klitschko, Holmes, Marciano, Dempsey, Louis, Tunney, Johnson, Foreman, Frazier, etc. I see no reason why Usyk would not be able to solve the styles puzzles. The man can't be beaten. Usyk is the goat.

The most perfect career in boxing history. Perfect fighter. He won everything there was to win. He fought everyone in his path, not one single duck. This man is the most perfect boxer in history. His record is perfect. Nobody from history even compares or comes close. Maybe Lennox Lewis who had two bad nights and avenged both with KO wins. But Usyk never had a bad night. Mayweather was a protected fraud pretender with about a dozen ducks and he never unified or was undisputed.Rad likes this.

Ali beat 20 top 3(ring) ranked fighters. I dont see usyk being able to replicate that. Hes at 5. Not losing doesnt trump quality wins. Most guys start their reign strong but fall off over time and start taking losses as new contenders emerge.Last edited by daggum; 07-16-2025, 01:17 PM.keith_head

Arguably Usyk was beaten by Briedis - split decision controversy. Dubois - knockdown controversy. And the Chisora fight could have been a draw if Chisora won just one more round on the judges scorecards. He's a great fighter, but just as beatable as any other great fighter. No one is unbeatable. With different refs and judges on those nights, Usyk could easily have 2 losses and 1 draw right now.Bennyleonard99 likes this.

I don't know about 'greatest', others like Ali, Lewis etc have that longevity to make it difficult for Usyk to ever catch them...
BUT he's probably the best. Historically there just aren't many Southpaw Heavies - Never mind one that moves, creates angles and has the energy and work rate of Usyk.
He gives EVERYONE in history fits and probably beats them all.Someone88

Beating a couple of past it british HW's and having 7 fights in the division suddenly makes you the HW goat? This is why i want Usyk to get knocked out this weekend. The hype is out of control. Usyk is not even at Bowe level.
Bowe was also undisputed.
A far deeper resume
Better wins.

Usyk is a feather fisted technician who is good at beffudling big stiff useless boxers with no stamina or chins who don't want to be in there.
The greats of the past would not fall for his BS and would stick it on him and force him into a firefight which he would not win.
