Shakur put on a clinic. But haters will still find a way to call him boring. He's an intelligent boxer/fighter. He knows what style will secure the win. You saw in his performance against Zepeda, why fellow boxers will call him boring, a runner, etc..

He's a problem. Therefore they will smear his name as an excuse to not fight him.

Respect to Zepeda for taking the fight, btw.

Its was a tough competitive fight cant complain with either guy efforts, Shakur stood in range and delivered like a champion and Camaron tried his best but just wasn't accurate enough, Full props for both it was Good one, the horrendous judges scorecards not so much though.

Shakur showed casuals that he can give his opponent a handicap and still beat him at his own game.

Entertaining fight, scorecards to wide. But clear and well earned win by the right fighter won in Stevenson, think both put a great fight, with Stevenson counting and slipping inside the pocket along with Zepeda working the body and finding pockets of success.

Zepeda will learn from this experience with twelve rounds with Shakur. These exciting fights happen when promoters aren't scared to put the best against best without any big advantages and maneuver to make them fight opponents thats stylistically is a give they win. This time putting #1 against #3 in the division based in the rankings.

William will bounce back and eventually challenge for the belt in the future though not so soon, but for now back in the drawing board. Stevenson is the clear and right winner, great fight where Shakur had clean and strong counters. He also made Zepeda miss quite often in the pocket and made him look silly at times. He also catched Zepeda with explosive shots, having the more noteworthy moments.

Still, the scorecards are abnormally wide and don't reflect the fight who Shakur admitted he struggled in this bout. Zepeda rocking Stevenson early (happens to every fighter) and he displayed affective pressure. He put a worthy performance. GBP should match him with Artem Harutyunyan early next year, who is in the downslide but tought enough to shake of ring rust.

Stevenson in the other hand as the winner, could have a high paying fight against Joe Cordina before challenging another top lightweight.

Like most observers I was shocked that Shakur did not do his usual 1-2 step backwards to run out of harms way. He was there to be hit. he stood his ground and was even happy to stay in the corner against the ropes. What I noticed after a few rounds was this - neither guy had enough power to bother the other guy seriously or to have them worry about being knocked out. They both landed a lot of punches but it would seem none of them had any effect.

I wonder how Schofield would go with these two guys? In his last fight he proved that he has serious power. I know ... I know people will say he avoided Shakur by pretending to be sick, but I just cannot help wondering, what if ...

I am happy for both of them. Stevenson answered critics, Zepeda was a warrior in defeat. I wish th scores were closer, but both got something out of this fight.
