Francis Ngannou never trained 10 minutes in Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman or any form or grappling. He never took a Judo, Jujitsu, Karate or Kung Fu class in his life. As a pure boxer with Paris coach Didier Carmont, he was later sent to Fernand Lopez's MMA factory, where he was introduced to additional ranges, and primarily used this knowledge to apply his boxing to MMA's rules. Able to sprawl, check kicks and stuff takedowns with ease, Ngannou was able to box his way to combat sports immortality, and heading up the short list of MMA's all time big men.
Upping the competition, he even gave a relaxed and playful Tyson Fury a sample of his power.
But a serious and trained Joshua was a bridge too far for him, giving him a near death experience; and it would be no different for Jake Paul, to be realistic.
