Bread's always talking about the difference between "greatest" & "best".
I'd go with Crawford as the "best", as in the guy who'd beat the most people if they were all the same size.
I'd go with Usyk having the greatest resume & being the most accomplished
I'd go with Inoue as the most dangerous.Comment

1) usyk
2) inoue
3)bu d
Saying bud would best everyone if same size is the most unreliable and most reaching and stretch of imagination. Usyk has better resume and best bigger guys, yet bu d would best usyk or inoue, whose stepped up more?Comment

I have Inoue on top. It's not just that he wins , it's how he does it. He crushes the competition.Comment

I always ask this when looking at 'who is the best right now'; how far back do you go when citing resume and still claims it impacts how good they are now?
if Ray Leonard came out if retirement right now he would have the best resume, but I doubt anyone would consider him the best right now. And thats why I ask how far we go back in evaluating performance, and what is the exact question we are asking: are we asking 'who is the best right now?' Or are we asking, 'who was the best fighter who is still active?'
Thats one of the reasons I find it hard to put Bud #1. He looked great at welter, but its been two years since he fought at that weight. Are we evaluating him at a weight he no longer fights at, or at what he currently is?Comment

I do like Foster, but come on ... best in the world - really?
For the eye test it's Crawford
For the resume it's Usyk
For dominance it's Inoue
Crawford if he beats Canelo he has the resume but if he loses he is no longer top 3
Usyk if he beats Dubois again he enhances his resume, if he loses his legacy takes a small hit
Inoue is being tasked with beating M.A then Nakatani and then move up to 126 and get a belt there - if he does all of that he is top 20 ATGComment

love this quote by Rudy Hernandez
“Naoya Inoue, because he dares to be great. When he gets in the ring, he is there to fight.”
In terms of greatness in mentality, I say Inoue.
No one fights as often as anyone, anytime.
And no one puts its all in the ring for the KO like him either.
Inoue doesnt fight for split decisions or close decisions like the other top guys.Comment
