Tolerance for Jake Paul splits along philosophical lines

I initially hated JP's rise in boxing. Then I was tolerating him as a guy whose bringing more folks to the sport, especially the younger audience. Though now at this point, I think I'm back to hating JP, lol. Sure, I can respect the work he's putting in the gym because it ain't easy to train boxing, but his opponent selection has been cringe after cringe.
The leadup to becoming a world champion feels fabricated at this point and not real. He didn't work his way up the ladder or rankings but just based on popularity trying to skip the line. I can only hope that either he still needs to face someone in the top 10 before facing the champ and that someone he faces can derail him. There is no reason he should end up facing the champion when there are plenty who've earned it the hard way.
Oh and by some reason he is able to skip the line to face whomever is champ when this happens, I really hope they prove a point and knock him tf out because there are levels to this. If he lost to a bum boxer in Tommy Fury, there is no reason he should be winning against an in prime champion.

Artists will view JP as a crass imposter with tattoos. Artists prefer authenticity and craft. Paul can never be that.

not praising him, more like saying Mike entertain it!! and you just said Mike made millions from it! so it makes Mike look bad, and just a reminder, Jake made more than Mike for that fight and won!! so I believe it's Jake who's laughing to the bank! Whereas for Mike, he tarnish his legacy by losing to a YouTuber for some money!!MulaKO likes this.

Canelo was gifted his first world title when the WBC just announced his upcoming fight at 150lbs against Matthew Hatton would be for the title.
At that point, the names on his resume were Lovemore Ndou (11 losses), 39-year-old Carlos Baldomir, and Miguel Cotto's brother. But he sold a lot of tickets, so he got handed a title.
The entire system around Boxing has been bull**** smoke and mirrors for the longest time - Jake Paul having success just exposes it for what it is.

If Jake was a real pro boxer then yes, it would make him look bad for targeting old Mike. But Jake is a youtuber. It's like me or you, fighting Mike and beating Mike. Would that make you look bad? or would you be bragging about how you beat Tyson???

Like any con artist he preys on ignorance. He is completely unscrupulous and will boldly lie to spread his narrative of being a top boxer.
If he spent half the time training as he does tryint to trick people that hes a top boxer maybe he would be good. Hes literally chsrlie zelenoff with a budget. He cherry picked tommy fury who is not legit because hes related to Tyson fury, and lost.
Ha ha ha its so funny just like the failed Austrian painter or the failed orange magnate. Then things get out of hand...Coverdale likes this.
