How can this clown be ranked 14th by WBA, yet he's #69 in Boxrec, lol. Nothing more than the WBA trying to get a money grab by a clown youtuber who's been able to elevate himself and fight a bunch of nobodies and a senior citizen Mike Tyson who can barely walk.

I was about to criticize the WBA as corrupt (they are) for this tanking so I looked at what happened to one of the recent guys to beat Chavez Jr:- Mario Abel Cazares was 11-0 after beating JCC at 168 in September 2020.
- April and May, 2021 Cazares enters SMW ranking at #15 by WBA
- June 2021 Cazares gets KO'd by interim champ Morrell in 1 round and retires.

Crazy as this sounds; it's conceivable that Jake could actually be more than competitive against Badou Jack, if Jack had to get old in the ring and hardly throw punches like Chavez Jr.
If you had the option to beat up on washed up former fighters and make millions, vs fighting "pro" bums that your management find to pad your record and making a fraction of the money?
Nobody watches that division, I couldn't even name more than a few of them.
I'm sure whoever he fights is going to get get far more viewers and make far more money than any other 2 cruiserweights would get....so it is what it is.

Well, he's not getting a title shot ranked #14. Also, let's not pretend like rankings were ever legit. All sorts of shenanigans have always happened. I'm not sure any of us would be any more positive about JP if he had been beating up bums just as easily.

Was just about to say the same thing
Champ can pick him as a voluntary defenceButt stuff likes this.
