Credit to Ryosuke he really came to fight. He handled Nakatani's power admirably. If not for his eye looking like a watermelon this would have been fun while it lasted. I want to see more of Ryosuke.

Nakatani is really something else. That was such an entertaining fight and Nakatani is the real deal.
Japanese boxing at the highest level these days just puts the Teo/Tank/Ryan/Shakur American soap operas to shame.

Impressive. Nakatani has solid skills at close range too. Great punch selection overall; and ring smarts. Nishida is a really good fighter himself. Inoue vs Nakatani could be massive! This is how to invigorate the sport.

Fights were fun. A ton of talent in Japan these days. I am not sure how it happened, I am just glad it did and we get to enjoy these men go to work.

Nakatani vs Inoue is going to be fireworks on the highest level. What a gift to us fans from The Boxing Gods. To have two fighters so good fighting at the same time in the same classes and willing to fight each other is sweet indeed. Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong between now and when they get in the ring.
I'm rolling with Team Monster , Nakatani is no joke though.

Japan has been one of the big four of boxing (US, Mexico, UK, Japan) for several decades, it's just easier for Japanese fighters to get exposure in the West these days so we're seeing more of them.

These numbers might be a bit out of date, but in the modern era of boxing these are the countries with the most major world title winners
US: 466
Mexico: 164
UK: 109
Japan: 89

Next closest is Puerto Rico with 50, and Puerto Rico is technically part of the US too.

Then you have the next tier down with Thailand, South Korea, Argentina, and the Philippines all in the 40s.
