During the super 6 era the division was one of the best in boxing, you had Ward, Kessler, Froch, below that level guys like Dirrell, Bute etc as well as middleweights like Taylor and Abraham doing bits, librado Andrade and sakio bika

    Now it's very barren

If fans can say past Eras are always better than today so can Ex Boxer’s . I would love to see Kelly Pavlik fight 168 today.

Boxing in general isn't what it used to be.

I thought George Groves was an actual champion? Not just an interim champion?

He held a full WBA belt at one point.

Canelo has a knack of making divisions dry... He did it at middleweight by refusing to face Jermall Charlo, Derevyenchenko and Andrade while now at 168lbs has made fighters move up in weight by not honoring mandatories/fighting top contenders.

Potentially 168lbs could've been quite lively with Benavidez, Morrel Jr, Jermall Charlo, Plant, Sheeraz, Berlanga, Mbili, Canelo, Derevyenchenko, Pacheco, Melikuziev, Surace all vying for position but obviously Canelo's actions have had a significant impact on the landscape there.
