What if Pacquiao-Mayweather had actually happened around 2009?

Work colleagues ask above posters about their hobbies:

"Well, I log onto this boxing forum to talk about the Mayweather - Pacquiao contract negotiations. It's really intellectually stimulating stuff. I think if I spend the next 16 years driving home my point about PED testing I will be on the verge of victory."

Would always be an uphill battle for manny

Floyd is 2 levels or 1.5 level better than manny on top of having the stylistic edge

manny who isn't that good at cutting off the ring

It definitely would have taken something out of him and again he didn't want tough grueling fights.

He'd just come out of his 'retirement' and fought JMM, how much more rest did he need? It was around this time I got completely fed up with the Mayweather charade and boxing generally.

You know how many iterations of negotiations they did

At one point in time Arum was saying they needed to wait for an entire stadium to be built only for them to eventually just fight at the MGM like all the big fights were

Floyd isn't getting knocked out that is cope. It's possible he gets out worked and loses a close decision. Floyd ain't getting hit like cotton and skeleton Oscar did.

And then Floyd adjusted and they never landed again

That's why he's not getting knocked out

He's not a hatton who had zero head movement or skeleton Oscar. Pac could land at will on those guys which is why pac knocked them out and not the smaller marquez who made adjustments

No one does, not even the various participants I should imagine. That's been my point with this redundant discussion, anyone taking an absolute position is a clout chaser and/or troll.

What I do know is that it was a terrible time to be a boxing fan. The "but they made more money, bruh" argument is reductionist rubbish for two main reasons:
                  1. It was greatly diminished as a sporting spectacle by 2015.
                  2. They could have ended up having a classic trilogy of fights been 2010 and 2015 which made even more money.

After that I realized this guy was faking the funk.

It was a whole division of welterweights calling him out and he only heard lightweight Marquez. A guy who had to jump up two divisions and still got welched on the catchweight agreement.

Lol. All they needed was one. The initial one. Where all demands were met then Mayweather decided to come back at the 11th hour with some unheard of ost demand.

Floyd is his own boss until it's time for accountability. Then it's everybody else's fault.
