Not many seem too interested in fighting Murta, so I’d be happy with at least the Lubin fight in the mean time.
If Lubin can avoid a fire fight it can be interesting event. Tim didn't fight that fight smart at all. We dont know how good murta really is.

If His Most Excellent Excellency is so frickin' excellent as the Savior of Boxing, where is he in all of this?
I think there is a lot more junk than quality in stock. They have Mertz but give us Scull? For 9 mill? Quality doesnt matter when junk sells just as good.

Well yeah, and it ain't nothin' new.
        Just howling at the moon.
Boxing's "quality matchups vs holding out for bigger paydays" equilibrium will always run lean from the fan's perspective. And everyone thought Turki The Royal Excellent Excellence of Excellencies was going to wave his magic petrodollar wand and solve everything.

Murtazaliev is getting Mike McCallumed out of the picture, he's too good, too dangerous and they want to keep him in the unknown B/C category.

Tszyu got shafted by Haymon, who pulled the bait and switch with Thurman/Fundora. He never intended for Thurman to fight Tszyu, the secret plan was to use Fundora to take Tszyu's titles.

It's a shame and injustice that Murtazaliev, Alinkhanuly, Yeleussinov are all getting Mike McCallumed, frozen out of the elite category because they are too good and because of where they come from. It's just another layer of boxing corruption to add to the many already.

Good for Tsyzu that he secured the rematch. He could win or lose.

Fundora has more confidence now, and Tszyu, although he beat Spencer, took a beating, albeit a few rounds, against Bakhram.

Fundora could be a much better boxer if he used his height and reach advantage over all opponents. Good to be exciting, but not good to fight somewhat ******, although he's not a bad inside fighter.

Murtazaliev needs a nickname to gather some new fans.. His name is too long and complicated for the lazy fans! We should call him B-Murder Murtz

I get why Zoo garners the attention and press (such as this article) but Murt destroyed Zoo, retained his title in the process, and established himself as the legit boogeyman of the division IMHO. As a fan, Murtazaliev is the guy I really want to see, not Zoo (Sorry, Tim, it's nothing personal).
Is it bad management? Not enough fan base?
Yeah, Fundora-Zoo II will be one to watch, but let's have the winner unify vs. Murtazaliev.
The drubbing Murt put on Tim was fantastic. Whoever is his promoter is blowing it, you got to strike while the iron is hot but his promoter hasn't even lifted the hammer yet. What should've happened was let Murt's hand heal, then get him back in the ring against anyone, just back in the ring. At this rate Tszyu will have 2 fights before Murt even signs to fight Lubin.

In another era, Murtazaliev would have already defended his belt at least once if not twice. This is why more and more hardcore fans distance themselves from the sport.

Anyhow, of all the champions, Fundora is the only one I see Tzsyu beating, and who knows what may happen, it's a tossup.

I really like Tszyu , he's got a real warriors mentality , he just needs to rein in the recklessness .
