Resendiz stepped up and knocked it out of the park, while Plant looks like a spent bullet. Using Breadman's own words about the limited life of high strung fighters, Plant has had a visible tendency to be high strung, which affects his stamina and general performance. He's never looked too relaxed in the ring, especially in the later rounds. Resendiz definitely was the one who made the right changes when needed, viva México. I do wonder how he would do against Charlo. I wish Plant good, but he's no longer elite and should consider retiring.
I don't get the hate tho with Plant, maybe I missed something? It's not like he is a racist or an ******* who talks **** about other boxers without a reason. Just because the dude grew up poor is no reason to be demeaned as trailer trash or hillbilly. He has a surly side and can be reactive, I don't think some of his actions are commendable, but it's not like he was being treated nicely in those moments. Why should a boxer be expected to act squeaky clean, humble and turn the other cheek always?
