Hope he can recover as much as possible. Should stand as a reminder of what boxers risk when they enter the ring, and that nobody who isn't willing to risk that for themselves should be calling someone who is, a bum. Critique their skills all you want, but respect the risk.

He should not have been in this fight. Who ever thought this was a good idea needs their head examined.

The Japanese Commission needs to be held accountable for this.

Where was the immediate medical attention?
            Where was the oxygen mask?
Why didn't they get him out of the ring immediately?
Why were they so slow to get him on the stretcher?
Why on earth were they trying to pass his limp, twitching body over the top rope?

How could they not be prepared for this after pretty much the same thing happened following the first Shigeoka vs Taduran fight?

How could they not be prepared after what happened to Anaguchi not that long ago?

How could they allow Shigeoka in this fight in the first place only 9 months after he collapsed following the KO loss in the first fight?

I thought I was watching a replay of the Anaguchi incident. You could tell Shigeoka was in big trouble and they were slow to react and didn't seem to know what to do. If this kid dies or has long term brain damage, the Japanese Boxing Commission is directly responsible.

Someone with power over there like the Inoue family should speak up and call these people out before someone else dies.

Shigeoka is very small even for the MW division. Taduran just looks a lot bigger.

japanese commission needs to make changes or the japanese government should ban the sport if they can't.

the doctor did not even check shigeoka until the ref called for a doctor. no oxygen available, they should take notes from UK.

and he obviously shouldn't have fought given how he was after the first fight

so what is going on here? all about money? letting the guy fight for money and not even having oxygen available and more ringside doctorsto save money?

disgusting. suspend boxing in japan until they make changes in pre-fight medical checks and ringside medical attention
