. Loma isn’t PAC status as far as being washed, but he’s not looked at the same as he would’ve been some years ago. Tank-Teo is appealing for boxing fans but Teo has no draw power so it wouldn’t be the same level event as Tank-Pacquaio.

I don’t disagree with your assessment of Manny. I just don’t think highly of Barrios and wonder why he would get this fight and not someone who would draw a much bigger audience and a bigger payday for Manny.

They picked Barrios because he’s the WBC champion and he won’t get literally killed like he would if he fought the only other champion.

Barrios is an average fighter but he’s a current world class WW and champion. Pacquaio is shot and literally geriatric. Did you read the part where he got beat up by a kick boxer? Pacquaio could barely move in that bout. Thats not even an exaggeration. I strongly suggest you watch that bout if you actually really think he has any kind of chance of beating Barrios.

And - make no mistake - I'm a big Manny fan.

I think we're all safe, Tat! I mean, four years ago, Ugas beat Manny pretty convincingly, then two years later, Barrios beat Ugas more convincingly. Manny beat Thurman two years prior to fighting Ugas. I believe that was his last hoorah, SIX years ago. I'm a fan of the guy too, but the comeback ship has sailed. I just hope Pac doesn't get hurt before he realizes it.

It has to be an ulterior motive.

It cannot be anything else if you have even the most basic understanding of this sport. Which they do.

This fight should not be sanctioned. In fact, it wouldn’t suprise me if Pacquaio doesn’t make it to the ring.

I don’t mind old retired legends doing exhibitions. That’s been part of the sport for decades on decades. But Pacquaio is so serverly shot that he’s getting beat up in these exhibitions by people who aren’t even boxers.

PBC likes in-house fights and neither Boots or Norman is signed with PBC.
PBC is cooking a Tank fight with the winner of Pac/Barrios.

If both of them just f around and wait for the wbc champ, they will end up just fighting their own mandatories and no namers for pennies.
