Comments Thread For: Dave Allen next fight? Deontay Wilder is a possibility, says promoter

Dave Allen revitalized his career with a fifth round stoppage of Johnny Fisher on May 17 and should Deontay Wilder do the same next month, a clash between the heavyweights might become appealing

Tremendous fight. Dave Allen is world-class, Wilder is an ATG, albeit past his best. Wilder by KO 1, but a tremendous 75 seconds while it lasts. Nash out - His Majesty

Why not? Wilder hasn`t beaten anybody but his fellow Helenius in the last 4 years.

I still think Wilder should move on, but if he doesn't, and if he wants to face Allen, it's 50/50 at this point, but Allen better stay inside.

I think there’s more chance of Wilder fighting James Jeffries. Til dis day!!!

Let's not forget that a "prime" Dave Allen managed to get put on a stretcher by a shot David Price

Even a shot wilder is several levels above BOSH fisher, wilder would get a brutal KO win vs Allen

Ffs. I don’t want to see Dave in with a huge puncher thanks. He’s a real nice guy

I'd give Allan a fair chance at this point - he has an AMAZING chin which people always overlook. Remember he has not been knocked down in his pro career, all of his TKO's have come from him stopped on his feet with the referee halting the action, and he has been in with some big punchers; Dillian whyte (UD L), Luis Ortiz (TKO L), Tony Yoka (TKO L), David Price (TKO L), Lucas Browne (w) and Frazer Clarke (RTD). wilder only has the right hand and to be honest I don't think its as snappy now as it once was - Allan should be able to take it. If he walks wilder down like he did Fisher last week I can see him tearing up wilder's body with hooks before eventually landing his patented overhand right which could be fight ending for wilder.

Lets just say if they were to fight, taking wilder's age into account as well I'd be placing a medium sized stake on Allan to get the KO.
