I have a feeling that he is going to swim. The problem with a guy as good as him is that the guys who might be able to test him aren't going to want to get in the ring with him unless he's a mandatory or his promoter is willing to invest in getting him some tests and then a title shot. I think that Itauma is worth playing the long game. I'd try to get him Bakole or Jared Anderson next.

You're right about guys not wanting to fight him - not unless they are paid a lot of money and that's why we should be content that Turki is investing - AT - because BT (before Turki) it would take 3 times as long.
Anderson is on a rebuild. For someone like Bakole - he'd make more money fighting Joshua and Zhang plus he still has his own title dreams and also thats probably 2 steps up for Itauma even though a great fight for us.
I'm thinking hard who would be a step up and also willing - I think Clarke, Adeleye and Wardley will all avoid him. I'm not sure Franklin is a step up. Just get him on a Saudi card and pay an opponent retirement money.

For sure is Franklin a step up.He went distance with Joshua and Whyte. Many fans felt like he beat Whyte If Itauma can stop Franklin, he is ready for anybody.

This is going to end just like Anthony Yarde, someone who seems like a precocious talent wasted.

Because when he finally steps up he likely falls apart and then goes back to fighting no hopers...

And unlike Yarde he had an amateur career, he was sparring current world champions as a child and his maturation as a child was similar to Tysons.

But unlike Tyson or his handlers they don't seem ready or willing to let him fight anyone who poses a threat.

He's yet to fight a big puncher or anyone who'll force him on the backfoot to test his engine, which I personally suspect will be his undoing (his engine).

We'll never know if Moses has a chin until he steps up to a better level of opponent.
Apparently Bakole was in the arena watching yesterday. I was hoping that was the setup to an eventual showdown, but it didn't play out that way.

You must be talking about a different David Price? Because the David Price from Liverpool, England 'Was blasting out all of his nearest competition at domestic level. Fighters such as Michael Sprott, Matt Skelton, Audley Harrison, Sam ***ton, John McDermott i.e the Scottish Heavyweight fighter, who many people had beating Tyson Fury I, in their very first fight. All of those fighters, even a Audley Harrison in the latter part of his career are better than any fighter Moses Itauma as fought and beaten'.

Moses Itauma has fought nobody of any real note at domestic level 'And there is no shortage of solid British Heavyweight fighters, for him to fight. I think people need to start asking the question? If this guy is good enough, why at the very least is he not competing against top level British Heavyweight fighters? I don't think Itauma has learnt anything from his fight last night'.

Note: David Price was a Commonwealth and Olympic Bronze Medallist 'And up until he was beaten twice by Tony Thompson I & II, who later failed drug test for performance enhancing drugs. Price's resume and rise in the professional boxing ranks was very impressive'.

I would honestly say that David Price's early career in a side by side comparison was more impressive than both Tyson Fury's and Anthony Joshua's 'It was just unfortunate that he suffered two back to back traumatic loses to Thompson. Loses that really should not stand on his record, but regardless? That would have not erased the brutality of those loses, which he experienced'.

But I agree with you Madison Boxing, people do need to keep things in context 'Moses Itauma from what I can see, has solid power and aggression. But he has not really shown any high level game, neither? Is he competing against fighters who would extend him into showing more of his abilities'.

I also disagree with the notion that 'Because he is a rookie fighter, he has all the time in the world. It is quite concerning that he is already showing signs of being not really in the best condition. Like I stated in my previous post yesterday, Moses Ituama looks like he has Rid**** Bowe type genetics. But does he have Bowe's boxing ability? Nobody seems to really know'.

I think Itauma's reputation is being built up in the same way as Martin Bakole's 'Stories, and jackanorys. But they are very ambiguous stories, because? Does anybody here actually know any top level Heavyweight fighters in training Ituama has actually beaten up or knocked out? When David Price was on the rise, I am sure there were plenty of people in the know in and around Liverpool who knew about his exploits in the gymnasium. But Price did not rely on those training sessions to enhance his resume at the beginning of his professional career'.

To conclude: Moses Ituama is clearly a talented fighter to a certain extent 'But I would not rate him better than Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua or even David Price in the early parts of their careers. Ituama is apparently been training with Anthony Joshua and Fabio Wardley, so people close to him should already know right now how good he is and what his performance ceiling and potential can be at his best'.

I understand that Frank Warren's expertise is in building and developing fighters 'But when I look at Moses Ituama, I am wondering what actually is he building? What is the narrative and intrigue with this fighter? Because outside of the actual boxing, people need a story to actually build a rapport with as observers'.

I am going to be real honest 'I am not inspired or intrigued that much by Moses Itauma's career thus far. I was with David Price, David Haye, Anthony Joshua and even Tyson Fury at the beginning of their careers. But I don't think Itauma, is generating the same level of shockwaves no matter how much the media machine has chosen him to be that fighter' etc.

Itauma vs Frazer Clarke in a year or 2 maybe, if Clarke gets back to full confidence after the Wardley KO. If Joyce wants a spectacular send-off, let Itauma finish him off. Whyte or Chisora are in need of send-offs too. Maybe Dave Allen wants to be part of the highlight reel?

I have read that his team is thinking about fighting Wallin or Franklin next.

So they have the same thoughts I have.
