Manny is Pacman and he can do what he wants. Go hate on someone else!

Definitely RJJ fought on for far too long. Ray Leonard is my favorite fighter of all time and stands out as a top-tier ATG. That's why his swan song was particularly poignant for me.Comment

Manny is one of my all time faves , but Jinkee's lifestyle is too expensive he has to keep the money rolling in .................Comment

I think he has less left. This will not be pretty.Remember SRL getting stopped by Hector Camacho? What a sad, sad spectacle.
It didn't diminish Leonard's accomplishments or his ATG standing in my opinion, but it was entirely unnecessary.
So is this fight. Manny probably has more left than Leonard did when he lost to Camacho, but still.....Comment

This is the point. He’s not a young man and he can’t do whatever he wants. What he wants, is to turn back the clock and win, but he’s 46 and it won’t happen.
I’m willing to guess he hasn’t been sparring yet, because that would probably raise enough red flags to not schedule this lunacy.Comment

Benny Leonard and Duran will be 1 & 2. Lets see the 18 above Sugar Shane Mosley. Mosley went undefeated at lightweight and had 8 title defenses at lightweight. All KOs. Let's see this.Comment

Haven't done a Lightweight list for a while but it would be something like this (no order)
Carlos Ortiz
Benny Leonard
Roberto Duran
Pernell Whitaker
Joe Gans
Henry Armstrong
Tony Canzoneri
Freddie Welsh
Ike Williams
Barney Ross
That's off the top of my head.
Then after that would be names like (no order)
Joe Brown
Packey McFarland
Beau Jack
Sammy Angott
Battling Nelson
So that's 15. Erm who else?
Lou Ambers
Ken Buchanan
Ismael Laguna
I'm sure there's quite a few more. Lightweight is historically one of the most stacked divisions in history.
Ok that's fantastic but you aren't honestly trying to argue he has a strong resume at Lightweight, are you?
How many ranked fighters did he beat at Lightweight? Like two? I think it's two, it might be three but it's no more than 3.
He only beat one fighter in the Top 5 and that's Philip Holiday who he didn't even beat in convincing fashion and look pretty crap in that fight really. Which again was the only Top 5 ranked fighter he fought at Lightweight.
His Lightweight resume is garbage. I don't think that's even debatable. The idea of him being "one of the greatest Lightweights of all time" is laughable.Comment
