Cuban David calling Mexican David RoboCop fighting style was classic

It was classic to see Morrell take the L at the hands of "Robocop" Benavidez too.

I dunno, man. Not disagreeing with you, but it’s very easy to say this after the fact. I’ve seen some fights where I felt the game plan was clearly ill-advised, and should’ve been altered early on, but this one didn’t fit that category for me. Benavidez is a top fighter, with more pro experience — and at a higher level — than Morrell. Despite the Cuban’s pre-fight joke, he’s not a robot. Very often one fighter makes it difficult, if not impossible, for his opponent to pursue his plan. My opinion? I think the Mexican was just a little too much at this point in Morrell’s career. I thought so going in. But I’m very happy with the way my man acquitted himself, both during and after the fight. Very much looking forward to his next outing.

And remember, he hurt benavidez at least on three different occasions.

Morrell lost convincingly against Benavidez but he didn't disgrace himself in there, he boxed competitively with him for the whole 12 and scored knockdown. Just the first 7-8 rounds he got out fought but he definitely did well down the stretch in that fight but was already to late at that point unless he got benavidez out of there. But the guys still young and can definitely do something in the sport and there's decent fights out there for him. Maybe even run in back with Benavidez down the line if he can put together some good wins at 175 because that was a really fun fight.

That "knockdown" wasn't even legit. Morrell caught the back side of Benny's left shoulder and he tripped over Morrell's right foot.

However, he decided to get in a firefight with Benny which cost him the fight. Despite, fighting the wrong style; He still made it a very close and hotly contested bout though.

Boxing and moving for 12 rounds vs someone like Benavidez is easier said than done. Morrell was actually boxing and moving pretty good until round 5 or 6 which is when he Benavidez simple caught up to him and Morrell started to stand his ground with the earmuffs on. Listen to what Gvzodyk said after that fight regarding the criticism of Morrell. Its not that Morrell didn't do X, its because Benavidez didn't let him.
