It's the only western country where Christian fundamentalism remains a significant force, with young earth creationism taught in schools. This is a bizarre take for a boxing forum but as a history major, I'll bite.
As far as Christian fundamentalism goes we are a predominantly secular society these days. Politicians make occasional statements to appease certain aspects of their base, however I am completely unaware of any creationism taught in any public schools. Private schools are allowed to teach whatever they like.
Remember that America was founded as a country by groups of people leaving europe due to the European treatment of religious **********.
As far as high art goes, there was nothing but native Americans here during the Renaissance, and that was in Italy, not Britain. The Dutch masters were painting a hundred years before America was founded. French impressionism was while we were fighting a civil war as most of not all young republics do. Then by 1900 we had as many famous artists and writers as any other country.
As far as food goes, all of the good food in Europe is in Spain, Italy, and France. I'd gladly take a cheeseburger over fish and chips. Is fish and chips or Shepard's pie any better as a national dish? Either way, neither Britain or America is a world beater in that regard. I have however enjoyed lots of good Indian food when I have visited England.

Nobody I associate with could name any Rock movie nor do they have any admiration for the Kardashians and celebrity culture. We do however hold Al Pacino and Daniel Day Lewis both in high regard.

In parting I'll say that I thoroughly enjoy the English boxing scene. I enjoyed the fight last night and Benn v Eubank Jr was, in my opinion, the best fight of the year although neither are truly world class boxers. I'll be pulling for Nick Ball every time he laces them up. He's truly enjoyable to watch

And the freedom to bear arms is not really the same as the freedom to shoot eachother dead, although it can be if that person breaks into my house or tries to hurt my family.
