"Some black guy?"... it'd probably some hyper-sensitive guy suffering from white fragility... but okay!

Teo would rather fight Ennis because he'd be in a win-win situation; also, Ennis may be a more favorable styles match-up than Haney. Ennis will chase Teo if necessary and exchange with him, but Haney will force Teo to chase him.

I agree with you about Haney's style. He is a back foot fighter. That type of style is the one that "Gordo" Teo usually struggles with.

In addition, Devin's performance against Jose Ramirez was just awful that night. it helped to further tarnish his brand. Also, with Ryan Garcia losing; He is now left without a dance partner.

Now as far as Ennis is concerned; In one sense, he is a better style match up for "Gordo" Teo. However, while Teo may enjoy some success early due to Boots' leaky defense.

He is still going to get touched up and hit a lot himself also in the process. Which will inevitably wear him down in the later rounds.

Coupled with all the energy and movement he will be expending just to avoid Ennis' power. Teo's lack of physical ability hurts him in this match up.

Also, Ennis is not as one dimensional as many boxing fans think. He can match Gordo's youth and athleticism. Moreover, he could fight off the back foot too. If and when he wants to.

" Evasive triumph " , Lance Pugmire makes running away in terror sound so elegant and almost , but not quite, acceptable. Nice work Lance.

I like Devin, but when he trains, all the yes men are constantly praising his every move and yelling, "beautiful, perfect, amazing", etc, and it's harmful to a fighter to compliment everything he does. Is his ego that fragile that he needs constant praise, or do these yes men really think he doesn't have flaws and things he needs to correct? He needs to get a real teacher and close the door to the gym, like jack blackburn used to do with Joe Louis and just work in privacy to get better. All that background noise and all that excessive, fake praise while you train is the worst thing for Devin. He will never improve that way

Actually, I think Ryan, and especially Oscar, will be fine with never having any rematch with Haney ever again.
