    2) I'm unimpressed by AA. Really am. I do appreciate that he came to the ring last night dressed like a Medieval Pimp. And he is eager and willing to fight in America. I respect that.
But he is so easily outboxed, that he is going to come against someone who will shut him out. Literally. Like Winky did Tito.

That being said, i gotta go with Kessler. But I remember Kessler being a bit hurt in round 8/9-ish by calzaghe. And if Joe calzaghe hurts you, then AA will re-align your family tree.

13-0 Saints... I'm about to throw up.
Same here, he isn't active enough and someone like Calzaghe/ Paul Williams could easily beat him based on activity alone. Taylor didn't have the legs to do that and on top of that, he came in one-handed. He reminded me of Malignaggi, except without the movement. I didn't see that many straight right hands at all.

    I didn't drink

      1) the thing that was weird about JT being one-handed is that he threw the jab. Usually, guys are afraid to throw the jab bc it gets countered. JT was the faster-handed fighter. Was he afraid that AA would counter-hook his right hand?

      What made him so hesitant?

LOL @ Abraham : "He hits not so hard".

Drew Brees is the truth. We can't fall behind.

I like Showtime's SuperSix tourney. But let's face it: it's a marketing technique to garner interest for a bunch of middling fighters.

        Compare this SuperSix:

        Arthur Abraham
        Carl Froch
        Mikkel Kessler
        Andre Dirrell
        Jermain Taylor
        Andre Ward

        To THIS SuperSix:

        Roy Jones, Jr
        James Toney
        Bernard Hopkins
        Joe Calzaghe
        Iran Barkley
        Michael Nunn

Arthur Abraham and Mikkel Kessler are the favourites. If those guys each fought the six in the second list, they might go 3-9 or 4-8.

But I realize that we are fighting in THIS era. And I'm glad Showtime was able to put this together.

...I just have to keep things in perspective.

Yeah, I know JT is 2-0 vs Hopkins. But the S6 features a vastly diminished Jermain.
Those are the top Super Middleweights all fighting each other win or lose. We could only wish for that to happen in other divisions more often.

Maybe the next Super 6 will have a Circus show during the intermission with clowns and elephant ****.

you sound like such a hating American, you just dont like it because, you know an american is not going to win the tournament! , the tournament is a great thing for boxing, we can all dream up lists of boxers in tournaments that never happened? we can't help it if USA is not producing great boxers of the past. Go and cry over the heavyweight division and the fact that usa cannot win a sprinting medal without banned substances and now that bolt is here u cannot win a medal with them... lol

On the real, I said Kessler was gonna win it from the start. You act as if Dirrell, Ward aren't inexperienced. Jermain Taylor is also pretty much done.

Everyone in the tournament has the possibility to potentially be a Great fighter, with the exception of JT.

The six you listed were great fighters because of their great careers. Give these guys a chance also. 8 fights ago who was Many Pacquiao?

Even though the winner may not prove too much because the tournament isn't as crazy as the one you had made up, there will be big fights out there after that could make the winner a legend in the game.

Imagine if Calzaghe came back and fought the winner and lost?

Do you believe that Carl Froch has the potential to be a 'GREAT FIGHTER'?

                  Who else here believes that?

Carl Froch is way too slow to be great.

It's still a great tournament, dude. Ward and Direll dont deserve to be there, but unfortunatley, ****** yanks woulds show no interest unless Americans took part. Taylor should be the only yank in their. Yes he has suffered losses, but he is still a marquee name in the division.
