Great-edge-of-your-seat-fight!!! The real monster stalk’s and stops his opponents while the “Mexican poser” hasn’t scored a KD since he had his cringey nickname. Naoya is the truth. Cardenas was game and put up a great performance himself. Naoya is a monster though

Way too much is being made of this knockdown.
Inoue wanted to deliver the goods with this being his first fight in the states after a long drought.
The promotion, hype etc…..leading up to this as well as his opponent, put him in a position where he wanted to deliver and deliver BIG.
As a result he got a little TOO HYPED to take out Cardenas and he got careless and he got caught.
But here’s the thing with the Monster, like the greats he gets up off the canvas and then that DOG comes out of him and once he figures his man out, it’s over.
He reminds me of Ray Leonard in that regard.
Inoue has that dog in him and he does not just want to win, he wants to take YOU OUT.
He has a SOLID CHIN. Durable chin.
He showed that with Donaire and unlike a lot of guys he gets up and shakes it off.
He gets hit with the punch he doesn’t see coming and he STILL GETS UP and dominates. Just like Ali, Leonard, Robinson, Holmes etc…..
I’m sure he will not fight the bigger guys so reckless if he does go to 126. He has fine technique and punch placement, he can box effectively and break guys down over the course of a fight.
But what seperated him over The others who fought this weekend is his willingness to take risks and not be gun shy after taking a good shot.
A lot of these American fighters lack that heart for being in a dog fight if necessary. This is why I appreciate these foreign fighters. They’re not afraid to go in and gut it out. They fight HUNGRY.
A lot of these American based fighters are too busy “playing the game, business as usual” thing and being social media champions. Not all but quite a few of them. And they rarely challenge themselves.
Boots, Benavides and Bud Crawford being the exceptions.
Inoue saved what was headed to be a pathetic weekend for boxing and at the end of the day he showed what separates him from a lot of these divas and sorry wankers in the states.

I want monster vs Espinoza not because I want to see Inuoe beat. Its more like asking an artist to sculp a statue or paint a wall. Something special. I dont think Espinoza can beat him.brankobugarski likes this.

Didnt pacman get stopped in the lower weight by some unknown fighter?? That doesn't count because it was early on in his career or what? I am a pac fan but let's not act like manny didn't get dropped and stopped. The fight that manny got dropped and stopped is worse than inoue getting dropped in the 2nd round and came back to dominate the fight.. Just enjoy boxing and stop with the nonsense.

man, let's stop making excuses about how he didnt take cardenas seriously.
and if it's true that he didnt take cardenas serious then it goes back to what i said that being too active will be his downfall because some fights he will not get the same motivation to train hard vs other fights.
i just see a game mexican fighter giving inoue problems in the future and possibly even hand him his first L... it will be against a mexican fighter. im not mexican by the way.brankobugarski likes this.

Inoue saved the weekend of boxing for the fans where we had the other big names promising action but delivering snooze fests. Sure he got clipped, by the same left hook he got clipped last time against Nery. But he adjusted, just like he adjusted against Nery, dominated and then stopped his opponent. He is a gunslinger who is willing to take risks to deliver a spectacular performance for the fans and show his superiority.
I will never watch Devin Haney and Canelo again (except the Crawford fight because I want to see Crawford) but I will always watch the Monster.letsbox10 likes this.
