He has no notable wins without P.E.D. use his chin is mediocre was he just all hype due to his athleticism, nice looks, and entertaining charisma ?
Was Ryan Garcia just internet hype ?

He was good and had potential but he definitely seemed to want to be a social media star more than a boxer.
As a boxing fan it's gonna be really hard to come back after losing cleanly to rolly fvkcing Romero. But idk how much star power he lost in the eyes of the general public. -
he obviously has some skills, he's fast, the hook is crazy, etc.. BUT you put him in the ring against another fighter that punches back, then those skills he has goes out the window.. he's so flat footed. no movements at all.. stand real high and straight. he has skills but he's not a real fighter.Last edited by IceTrayDaGang; 05-04-2025, 07:18 PM.Comment

Garcia vs world title winning opposition (not counting secondary/interim titlists):
L vs Gervonta Davis KO 7
NC vs Devin Haney 12 (originally a MD win, overtuned after a failed PED test)
L vs Rolando Romero UD 12
0-2-0-1 record officially.Comment

He has talent but not the willingness to learn. He's got real power in the left, and elite speed, but he never develops the right, and never improves the huge flaws (flat footed, chin in the air, etc). He's all talent but light on technical skills, and he's mentally weak. That's the biggest thing. No work ethic, no willingness to learn and be better. Not like Artur Beterbiev, for instance, who's always in the gym grinding, knocked everyone out until Bivol, but was still saying that he hoped he'd be a good boxer some day. He doesn't have the champion mentality, and you can have all the talent, but if you don't have the mind and the will to back it up, it can only take you so far. Like Deontay Wilder, he's got one heck of a trick, but unlike Wilder, he didn't manage his career as carefully.Comment

I dont know if he spars much but do you think sparring more will help him be more comfortable? he has the skills, he's quick with his hands but he only looks good doing that in shadow boxing, etc... in an actual fight, he can't get in his groove. he's so stiff.Comment
