I’ve been Boxing recreational for 5 years and I just started Jiu jitsu for 4 months and have already submitted 3 people while training. For the first 1 years of Boxing I was getting whooped. Is this normal ? Or is Jiu-Jitsu easier ?
Anyone had it easier in Jiu Jitsu than Boxing ?

did the 3 people u submitted start after you? -
Some people will take to striking better, other people will take to grappling better. It will vary from person to person and from teacher to teacher. Maybe your jiu jitsu instructor or training partners are better than your boxing coach and sparring partners, or maybe your body type and mentality are more suited to grappling.Comment

It just depends on how and where you train... always. Boxing is a bit more lean and mean. You can make workouts based on punching but eventually two people have to have a spar or so... Also, if you even care about submitting people? prolly not a good class. Ju Jutsu is really about how to redirect an opponent not submit them. Redirection becomes the basis for technique when done properly.

People with shorter limbs can find grappling easier than striking for sure. Once you get in close to someone it's a more even playing field.
People with vision impairments pretty much only have grappling as an option. You can do Judo/Jiu-Jitsu while blind, but a blind striker is dead.
People with thick torsos, lower centers of gravity can be more difficult to move around.
Some people just plain can't take a punch.Comment
