If I was Oleksandr's handlers I would not let Usyk take this fight. He has nothing to prove. My wish is that he would just retire already and pass the torch and the changing of the guard to the new and younger generation of heavyweights.

I mean c'mon guys what is the point? He's already defeated Triple D once and has defeated both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury twice a piece. He has earn the right to retire from the sport of boxing with his record unblemished.

However, if he does decide to fight Triple D again; Then I have this eerie premonition that he will lose. It's the very same premonition I had when Daniel Dubois challenged Anthony Joshua and we've all witnessed what happened in that fight.

I cannot see Usyk lasting more than four rounds in this fight. Triple D is just too young, hungry, big, strong and powerful for the aging Oleksandr Usyk at this late stage of his career. What a very meaningless fight for Oleksandr Usyk?

I say that because he will be fighting inside of Triple Ds backyard now the U.K. With an entirely different referee and judges.

This time Daniel has more confidence going in. He's had folks telling him that he already KO'd Usyk and then he went on to blast out AJ who Usyk went 12rds twice. Usyk is also not a young fella. This might be the fight where he gets old overnight and passes the torch to the next heavyweight king.
Bingo! Excellent post! You hit the hammer right on the nail! Those are my exact very same sentiments about this fight.

If he is able to land that same exact punch in the U.K that he landed in Poland; with an entirely different referee. Then chances are he would become next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

The punch he landed in Poland was very controversial. Boxing fans are split over it. Some say it was low while others say it was a legit punch near the borderline.

No doubt he would still have that same heavyweight championship heart and spirit but at age 38; His body is aging and getting old. We still don't know what damage if any those two fights with Tyson Fury has taken out of him.

No I did not but every referee is different and does not always officiate fights the same way.

yes but if he said this spot is low and points to it and he sees a punch on that spot then its a low blow, its to do with how high the trunks are of course and if he can see the belly button or not

I wasn't necessarily saying he's still in his physical prime. Just that I believe Usyk understands the magnitude of the occasion, the difficulty level of the opponent, and that he's never exhibited any slacker behavior to make us think he's that he's going to enter in the ring under-prepared. If he loses, it won't be because he's underestimating Dubois. Usyk isn't gonna give up the crown easily. I love that he isn't retiring and has decided to give Dubois one more shot at the throne. If he beats Dubois, no one can say Usyk wasn't a defending champion and that he didn't give the younger generation an opportunity at greatness. Dubois has another opportunity, and hopefully he doesn't waste it.
