There really were long instances when Dirrell didn't throw punches.

I'm not sure if Dirrell would have got a decision many places. Most judges favour the man 'pressing the action.'

Dirrell is a more talented fighter but the more dominant man in that fight was Froch. He was the one forcing the issue. Dirrell needs to up the work-rate or he is going to find it hard to persuade judges.

Dirrell is like the American Herol Graham though, I liked that comparison.

With more experience Dirrell will win big against Carl.

That being said IMO Dirrel won that fight
im sorry you wernt there..froch landed so many jabs, hence why dirrells face wa s amess and froch did not have a scratch..

Froch also landed some big shots but dirrell being from the school of mayweather rolled the puches so they were graces...

You have to take the belt with both hands...dirrell had large periods of doing nothing wheras froch landed decent body shots and jabs...

Dirrell is a spoiler...a very good one at that and IS world class...but freoch showed to me his patience and popped the jab all night..

Dirrells face told the tale of the fact you could not give one decision to to him...close fight but froch 3 rounds up...

All the riongsiders had froch winning...

it's called effective aggresivness, and froch did'nt do much if any at all

running foward and getting tagged wins you rounds now?

How the fcuk can you even give a split to dirrell???Firstlky hes obviously very skillful but ffs he has to come to nottingham and take the belt by both hands...there were very large perioopds where he didnt throw a punch...

Froch kept popping him with the jab all night hence why at the end froch had no scratches and dirrels nose was bleeding and eyes were swollen...

I think dirrell is world class but no way did he win that fight, and this fight shows that froch can be patient and adapt to any fighter...

I think dirrell is a nightmare for anyone since he ran all night and made no effort to have a boxing match..
Dirrell was fighting his 19th fight yesterday, and his inexperience showed. He had all the advantages, but didn't get it together.
Had this fight been #2 or #3 of the tourney, Dirrell would have whooped Froch.

Froch has no excuses. He fought like an amateur.

No doubt Abraham just prooved he takes second spot after Kessler, Froch is a B-level fighter who will loose a onesided fight to Kessler.

that would be a good point if froch did run foreward and get tagged all night, but he didnt...

Froch landed so many jabs to the face hence why his face had n2o scratches and irrells was bleeding...as bernard would say "look at his face"

i was amazed being a ringside spectator how dirrell even got a split decision...

you have given no reason why froch is a b level fighter apart from your statement..whenn the fight will be on youtube these laughable lies will stop..

Froch relatnlessly jabbed dirrells fsce hence its mess, dirrell was inactive for such large periods it wasnt even funny...he didnt even land any body blows...

As i say dirrell showed he didnt deserve one decision...

                    What fight were you watching?

Dirrell took Froch's jab away, I mean, Froch couldn't even pull the trigger with his jab, due to Dirrell's head movement and sharp over-hand counters!

he relentlessly swung at air, on rare occasion he connected but got countered doing even that.

it was a sloppy, foul filled fight, neither guy should be proud of, but dirrell won it.
