Yes that was a VERY impressive performance. His opponent was a top amateur who beat Bam Rodriguez and one of Lomachenko + Inoue's sparring partner's so I was expecting a tough fight but Powar blew him out of the water with a 59-55 shutout on all 3 scorecards. Terrific performance!

Btw Powar is one of 2 Punjabi Sikh fighter's competing at the event...Eric Basran is much more talented in my opinion but has a tough fight against American Isaiah Johnson tomorrow.

Just wanted to note that.

1. There was a lot of good competitive bouts and a few (1-3) snoozers.

2. The chat is filled with racism.

3. Bonalo seems to go all out early, the guy is already taxed in the 4-5th round.

4. Talent wise, the fighters that standout to me is Qamalli, Denson, Munguia Jr, Nash and Mosqueda. The ones that lose in the tournament in phase 2 are still worth keeping an eye over in their future bouts.

That's not bad, sufficient for a upcoming fighter to self maintain and be able focus on training to get more opportunities. Also the experience, elevation in rankings and being signed by a big promoter.

Normally they get 1K to 15K depending on the fighter's quality of opponent and their marketibility.

Yes that's probably 10-15 fights worth of prize money if they end up winning the competition. However, like the commentator said after Powar's fight, he's very likely to be signed by a TOP UK promoter after that performance which is the real prize in my opinion.

In fact, just being on this kind of platform is a victory in itself even if they lose as they're facing other top prospects.
