I would stay at 147 for now if I was Boots. Some of these guys at 154 will still be there for him. I read that Oscar wants an easier fight for Vergil next time out before he looks at some like Murtazaliev so thats at least 2 fights for Vergil to maybe collect a belt at 154. That gives him 2 fights to collect another belt and make a mandatory.

Then i believe I read if the Haney vs Garcia rematch works as planned it will be at 147. I would try to get that payday from King Ryan and then use champion status to get your shot at Vergil

To be honest; I don't think that either Errol Spence, Jr or Terence 'Bud' Crawford wanted any smoke from this kid. He was just too good. He was very high risk but very low reward. That is just my honest opinion.
