Contrary to Foreman, Briggs was unable to put world class fighters to sleep. Not saying he wasn't fun to watch, but he lacked the stamina to compete with the best boxers of his generation.
Damned near whoever Shannon fought, went to sleep. I get your point though. I didn't say he fought the same level of competition George did, just that his KO % is very high and he also fought a lot of pro fights, compared to many modern heavyweights. The fact that he was able to do as much as he did, while having asthma, says a lot about who he was. He's definitely cut from a tough, old school cloth

            I hope to age gracefully.

It's humbling for the strength and energy of youth to leave, especially for a fit and athletic person, but it happens to all of us who live long enough. And as it does we should be moving into a different chapter and role in life.

Better to go gracefully than embarass ourselves by not letting go.

I remember Briggs getting walked down by Botha and Botha was probably robbed in their fight as he dominated the fading Briggs late in the fight. Aside from the White Wolf I don't think Briggs ever beat top guy.

His loss to Lewis was probably his best fight....

All roads lead to Briggs vs Jake Paul. Let's go, Champ. Loved when he was following Klitschko everywhere. "Whatever you eat, I eat!". Nash out - His Majesty
