It's not where he SHOULD go (Bakhram, Ortiz, Bohachuk, Janibek, etc) but there is a hint of intrigue.
As you know, Garcia has a wicked fast and hard left hook. Something Stanionis couldn't throw and Karen couldn't throw. But I think Garcia catches Boots with it and I want to see what happens then. I think Garcia can bulk up naturally so it wouldn't be a gross weight mismatch.
I wouldn't expect Boots to lose but it could get interesting.
Nauseating? Maybe, if it's anything like the build-up to the Haney fight. But it's so cringe I couldn't look away, either.
    I know, it's fooked.
Ryan gets ktfo before the sixth round
I can see the headline now ; Boots does better than Tank

        Why wouldn’t I
It’ll be the greatest spectacle in the world
All the preflight hatred only to then Ryan raising Boots’s hand in the ring

What should happen is Ortiz gets his shot vs. Fundora, while Ennis exchanges his IBF 147lb title for a shot at Murtazaliev. It doesn't seem like the IBF have called any mandatories for Murta as the #1 and 2 spots are vacant, so Ennis may have a direct path to him.

I would really like to see the Norman fight, but I don't think he's worth waiting for. Murtazaliev will be less hassle to negotiate with.

Ryan Garcia and Benn for the money

            Barrios and Norman for belts

Boots shoild stay at 147 IMO. There is more money for him.

And wouldn't a Ryan vs Boots fight be fun for the circus atmosphere and the fight itself?
Not counting out Norman. He does very well with fighters that come at him but I have seen him get rocked a couple of times. That is the fun thing with two undefeated fighters, you never know which one dares to be great.

I understand your perspective, but how long is it realistic for Ennis to wait? I'm not interested in Giyasov/Ennis.

Hearn can “expect” all he wants but to making this fight will take a crossing of promotional en******. Historically, unless big $$$ is involved, it rarely happens and Boots/Norman isn’t a big $$$ fight. To me this is the biggest problem with boxing.

Before fighting Boots, wasn’t the exact same thing being said about Stanionis?

Yes Ortiz did move to 154 because he couldn’t make 147. And it’s ok. Boots is a WW and makes 147 easy do he is staying at WW.
Boots will unify 147 this year and will find Ortiz at 154 probably next year. He will destroy Ortiz and I’m sure we’ll hear Ortiz lost because he’s been in wars.
