  • Terence Crawford does not think Errol Spence Jr will get into the Hall of Fame with his current accolades, agree or disagree?

Crawford had recent interview, which two topics were interesting, he mentioned about Manny Pacquiao having utilized steroids, once he avoided he tried testing against Mayweather, he stopped getting knockouts.

The other is that Errol Spence was weight bully and stayed on the same division his whole career to capitalize on it. Also that based on his current accolades and counter points to some wins, he didn't achieve much, odd hearing it from Crawford considering it diminishes his win over his opponent.

On paper, EJ was a unified champion (WBC, IBF and WBA) in one of boxing’s most storied divisions. He beat active world champions to win every belt none were vacant. Such as Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, and Yordenis Ugas were all reigning titleholders when he beat them.

        beat a shot brook
Beat ugas bumass who lost to a stank Davis leftover

It makes me think about how Spence didn't really capitalized on his opportunities despite being well backed by PBC.

-He was fairly inactive, he could had fight other opponents available like Keith Thurman and Manny Pacquiao. Yet decided not to.

-He could had moved up, PBC held at the time a pretty stacked Light Middleweight division

-His wins don't really stack up as a Hall Of Famer to me either, at least for me as he fought:

Context in some of his wins:

-Danny Garcia a light welterweight who didn't have much success moving up. His best achievements above 140, were beating Lamont Peterson at a 143 catchweight and pulling a split decision loss to Keith Thurman.

-Kell Brook cutting down from 160 to 147, coming off a devastating loss to Gennady Golovkin. Having a titanium plate in his right eye socket. Kell Brook when fighting Golovkin, was a undefeated fighter and was considered a top pound-for-pound boxer. But at this point Brook likely already needed to move up and took a risk making two jumps.

-Mikey Garcia was a fighter that debuted at featherweight and was a natural lightweight, a fighter that was in the P4P rankings but had no business fighting two divisions above, Spence was already considered quite big being compared to Middleweights.

Think his most legitimate wins are over Lamont Peterson, Shawn Porter and Yordenis Ugas. And While 2 out of 3 are legitimate are genuine world champions with elite qualities. They are not that outstanding themselves. Porter is a tough night for most welterweights with his imposing aggressive style, he was quite limited. He lost in every top level challenge he took. Porter win over Ugas was controversial itself.

Ugas was coming off his biggest win in a upset over declining Manny Pacquiao, a fighter that was in his 40s, who was compensated with his athletic ability to compete at the top level above his natural weight class. Pacquiao also stopped getting knockouts at 147 as he was a fighter that did damage through accumulation through rapid combinations. He was still a great fighter, winning because he had the skill and sufficient ability to pull it off. Ugas best wins were over a worn out Omar Figueroa Jr, Jamal James and Thomas Dulorme, none which were contenders at welterweight.

No, I disagree. On merit; I say yes. I think he gets in. He has only one loss on his record and that was to arguably the best P4P fighter in the world in Terence Bud Crawford. On character, I say fuck no. He does not get in.

All of his fast living and late night partying; Which nearly cost him his life, one of his eyes and ruined his prime. Also, like Crawford; He had been avoided for much of his career too by the elite fighters in the welterweight division.

My final analysis is yes. He would get in eventually.

He beat Algieri, Brook, Peterson, Mikey, Porter, Danny G, and Ugas. That's a pretty solid run.

Yep, I agree. How many more Terence "Bud" Crawford's do we know? None. However, I will say that in order for Spence to get back into the fight game.

Then he is going to have to make some very serious lifestyle changes by changing his old bad habits. I say that because the shit he is putting his body through now. Is just aging the living fuck out of him.

One he doesn't like to train or stay in shape. Moreover, his lazy fat ass never goes to the gym because he is too busy overeating and getting drunk while drinking his liquor.

I agree. However, in spite of all of that. He is still getting in though. I am pretty sure that Al Haymon has already made sure of it.
