Saying he sees in Boots a mix of Roy Jones and Terrence Crawford says it all really.

I still get excited when I see myself in the mailbag. Truth of the matter is Breadman is usually spot on!

How? He is ONLY responding to questions about Boots. What is he supposed to say when people specifically ask about Boots?

A few years ago, I remember reading this forum (and I wasn't posting at the time) and suddenly I was reading about this Boots guy that I never heard of. Breadman was signing his praises and comparing him to the best fighters at the time. I was surprised there was a fighter that I never saw fight, that never beat anyone of note and he was being compared to the p4p greats by a respected boxing trainer and analyst. I was shocked. Breadman introduced Boots to the boxing world and made everyone sit up and take notice. In a way he is a like a proud father who has a smart and talented kid telling the whole world about him

Same here, I had never heard of Boots until I started reading his mailbag. That said, Boots passes the eyeball test AND pretty much everything Bread says about him.
In less than two weeks, we are going to find out how good Boots really is. Or not. It’s that simple.

Yes, to be clear, I like Boots and think he's a talented kid, but he's susceptible to getting hit to give one back and he cannot cut off the ring. And I know the "cutting off the ring" argument is fraught with negative connotations (easier said than done), but if he's sniffing around the elite level, it matters.

Hoping Stanionis really tests him and vice versa. I want to see a glimmer of hope come back to 147.

All the praise of Boots’ greatness is based just on the eye test and on sparring stories.

That is what bothers people I think, the fact that his actual in-ring career hasn’t earned these accolades. Yet.

Wishful thoughts but he’s biased towards him the same way you are. You’re just a fan and are blinded by the fact he hasn’t done anything in boxing as of yet. You want him to it feels good. But Karen was up his ******** and the skills show there

The first guy who was truly a great poster and boxing aficionado who brought Boots to the board was Eff Panda
He was the first praising Boots from what I recall and recall him saying that he saw him at tournaments when he was an amateur
