u are completely underestimating benny and over estimating canelo there is a reason canelo has lined up the guys he has fought over the last few years because they are not very good at all and benny is now forced to look for fights with guys like bivol and beter where he is up at their level and could beat them, canelo cant beat bivol or beter and hes proven he fears benny and has no interest in him at all and the reason is simple he has no confidence he can beat benny either, u have misplaced your trust in canelo and listened to his BS, its nothing to do with anything apart from fear, i mean look who canelo is fighting next and he tried to make a fight with eubank and everyone even canelo fans want to see the benny fight not the crap hes putting on year after year

I think the situation between Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez is similar to 'Ricky Hatton and Junior Witter. Many people in the boxing community, are behaving like Canelo Alvarez needs David Benavidez, and that this matchup is Alvarez's only big fight opportunity'. Just like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, in reality fighters at the level of prestige of Canelo Alvarez don't need to fight David Benavidez'.

Would David Benavidez even be one of Canelo Alvarez's biggest wins on his resume? No 'Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Erislandy Lara, those fights are all Alvarez's biggest and most impressive wins. They are all better fighters than David Benavidez'.

Even currently right now as we speak? I am sure Canelo Alvarez would be way more enthusiastic and motivated to rematch Dmitry Bivol II at 175 pounds 'If he wins his trilogy fight vs Artur Beterbiev III. I even think there is a potential that Canelo Alvarez could fight Artur Beterbiev in the near future'.

If the Benavidez vs Alvarez fight is made at 168 pounds, and Alvarez makes a mandatory defense against him. Like I stated in my first post stylistically, David Benavidez is not only a fighter straight up Canelo Alvarez's street i.e. not a very high skill level, defense is nothing special, and movement is limited. History has shown us, that specifically fighters need to be more than just aggressive and game to beat Canelo Alvarez. I am adamant that Benavidez is not good enough in the areas of boxing, which are needed to win rounds consistently vs Canelo Alvarez even outside of his peak as a fighter'.

To conclude: I suppose at some point if somehow David Benavidez was able to win a actual World title at 175 pounds 'Then the fight between Benavidez and Alvarez would happen at 175 pounds. I don't think the fight should happen at 168 pounds, as David Benavidez is most likely dead at the weight now. Which is not Canelo Alvarez's fault, Benavidez is suffering the consequences of extensively weight draining himself and promoting himself as a monster fighter'.

I tend to agree with most of your sentiments here. I’m going to focus on only 4 points you’ve made;

But that same prestige will allow them to fight Berlanga, Ryder, Munguia, or a Jr Middle Weight Charlo who has done zilch at 168. Do you think Charlo was a better opponent than the top guy at 168?

Stylistically, do you think the 5 names I listed are all high skill level, great defense with crazy movement? If Benny is that easy, Canelo would have fought him.

Benny has been calling out Canelo for over three years. The raging debate on this platform and every other one is about Benavidez getting his shot as a mandatory to Canelo’s belts. No one is celebrating the 5 names I listed. Instead of fighting Benny, Canelo fights those guys.
