Why is that so difficult to understand? Are you just flat out refusing to believe that Bud agreed to a lower guarantee but a high PPV upend deal after he left Arum?Comment

Come on Smash, you know the $3 million per fight Bud was earning with Arum was based on a contract with no PPV upside. After leaving Arum and signing on to fight Spence, Bud received a lesser guaranteed amount than $3 million but with a PPV upend that entitled him to receive a percentage after a certain amount of PPV buys. The pay contract he signed when he fought Spence is the same type of contract he was under when he fought Madrimov, but with a higher guarantee, which was $2. 7 million.

Wrong, what I said was that $2.5 million was the guaranteed amount plus PPV upend, but the PPV sales were terrible. I also agreed with another poster that he could have very well made more money on a side deal to make up for the loss in projected PPV upend. But the $2.5 million guarantee is a factual amount that can be verified by Public Records...

It is not just the atmosphere, having to travel there and deal with the jet lag is another thing too. I think it takes away from fighters who just fight in Vegas or Europe because now they have to train at home, then deal with a week or two of getting used to the time change.Comment
