Plants levels above Munguia and Berlanga. Plants not elite, but he’s still champion level. Berlanga and Munguia aren’t at that level.
Plant might be getting old though, but as long as he’s not shot, Plant would beat both based off of his superior boxing skill set.
Unless you count the win over Dirrell to be his statement as of last
Imo Dirrell was already finished and then he had hard time with Mc Comby

He got caught against McCumby a few times, but he made the adjustment necessary to get the win.
I think the fact that he was able to make the adjustment speaks to his skill set.
And his loss to Benavitez wasn’t as bad as some made it out to be. He fought well at the start and won some rounds. Benavitez did what he always does. Gets better as the bout goes on and he started breaking him down. No shame in losing to Benavitez, Plant did better than most boxers do when up against the monster.
That’s exactly my point though
All his boxing skills have been absent in his last four fights
McComby should of never been able to tee off on him and him making adjustments is just what was expected from the get go
At this point , imo , Plant would have a harder time than expected even fighting a Berlanga or Munguia

McCumby should have never landed on Plant the way he did! I’d favor Munguía and Berlanga against him!
And why the hell is Plant interim champ?
Dude loses to Benavides, is out of the ring for 18 months, and comes back to fight some guy I never even heard of for the interim strap.
So if Canelo vacates or retires, Plant gets elevated to WBA champ!
Disgrace!

At this point, yes. Plant probably will have a hard time against Berlanga or Munguia. I expect Munguia and Berlanga would have their moments against Plant.
But Plant will still get the win against both for the reasons I stated previously. He’s still levels above both. Not by much, but enough to where he would still win.
Had it been a few years back. I’d be the first to pick Plant cause he had the stamina and the sharp reflexes to avoid the much coming to him but from what I saw lately he is on a downfall
My two cents
