Wow, okay, well at least we got the bad decision out of the night.
There were a few rounds in the middle that I felt were a Rorschach test as to whether you like quantity (Garcia) over quality (Gausha), but not enough to counter the fact that Gausha won most rounds
Gotta love the announcers, 'it was horrible....', 'it needs to stop....', 'oh well, we don't want to let it ruin the night.'
None of them will mention this again, but thats understandable, because their paychecks are at stake to not raise a stink. Nobody with any ability to clean up the scoring criteria will do anything.
Judges liked Garcia's ineffective aggression more than the quality shots of Gausha.
Thats one of the big problems, "effective" is such a subjective term...but the powers that be like it, because having something more concrete would make it harder to protect fighters.
