Third fight was about even as jmm doesn't throw alot of punches not then anyway...and the true truth is jmm was cheating and working with memo fight three as well, fight four he was popping every speed bag he touched and was roided to the gils practicing steroid punches day and night...**** jmm if this was wrestling he would be Chris Benoit he shouldn't ever be mentioned for how he tainted the floyd match....Last edited by sbbigmike; 03-21-2025, 11:07 AM.Comment

Jmm was cheating and working with memo then that fight I hate how people ignore this fact, plus wasn't nothing like they other two matches....win lose or draw the floyd match would have been preserved still ....he got knocked the **** out and changed his whole style, alot of people didn't believe he could beat a Floyd no more....they could have double their ppv numbersLast edited by sbbigmike; 03-21-2025, 11:07 AM.Comment

Marquez won the quadrilogy. He gave manny a boxing lesson in 3 and clapped him in 4. manny thought he could age out Marquez only to be shocked
Going by your logic Juan has NEVER failed a drug test throughout his career. But manny did duck drug testing for 5 years
manny has an inferior record
manny was conquered by 2/3 of his rivals and would fight lesser versions of their mutual opponents
manny waited to fight an older Mosley who was beat by Floyd first (the pattern manny’s stardom was derived from), tried to age out Marquez 3 and Floyd only to have it backfire
, and cherry-picked margarito to get a belt in a new class at a catchweight instead of fighting Paul Williams
You can’t even name all of the rounds Oscar took when he fought Floyd.
Floyd fought a better Oscar than manny. Oscar took only 4 rounds: 2, 4, 6, and 12.
Marcos didn’t do enough to take the 7 rounds needed to win a fight. Floyd often controlled center ring
Jose got swept in the first 5 rounds couldn’t take 7 rounds total and lost
Zab’s flash kd over Floyd was too quick for the ref to catch and wouldn’t have changed the decision because Zab took max 4 rounds: 1, 2, 4, and 12. this unruled kd happened before Floyd became the cash cow with cash cow privileges
Alvarez would go onto become a great. Thurman has done zip since manny.
But first manny went on a cherry spree for 4 fights in 3 years: Vargas-Horn-Lucas-Broner and lost to Horn
You must have been on the losing side of the Floyd-manny conflict). Therefore, it doesn't get any more definitive than that from a decision perspective. Also, let's NOT forget that Marquez was roided to the gills in the 3rd fight too as he started working with the known drugs CHEAT during this fight. Therefore, PED issues aside, if the judge scoring the first fight could add up correctly, Pacquiao wins the quadrilogy convincingly 3-1!
Also, let's not forget that Mayweather himself is a known drugs cheat having infused himself with a BANNED IV prior to the Pacquiao fight which violated anti-doping rules!
In terms of common opponents, Mayweather forced Marquez to jump up 2 weight classes (he was fighting at Lightweight back then) to fight him at a catchweight only to come in HEAVIER himself. Also, that version of Marquez had already LOST to Manny twice and been dropped multiple times!
Mayweather also went the distance with damaged goods Cotto who Manny had already STOPPED a few fights prior.
Re DLH, plenty of people thought Oscar won the fight and even Mayweather's own DADDY agreed so let's just leave it there!Re Castillo, he outlanded Mayweather (203 vs. 157) in the first fight so definitely won whereas the punch stats were RAZOR THIN for the first contest against Maidana which could've gone either way (230 vs. 221).
At the end of the day, I like and respect BOTH fighter's but Mayweather's undefeated record is hugely dubious simply because he's won fights that he should've lost and had knockdowns against him not counted simply because he was the Vegas cash cow and face of boxing at the time.
However, if you compare their careers side by side, there's absolutely NO question that Manny is the SUPERIOR fighter...
1. Started his career at Light Flyweight (108lbs) whereas Mayweather began fighting at Super Featherweight (130lbs)
2. 8 division world champion (vs. 5 for Mayweather)
3. 4 decade world champion (vs. 3 decades for Mayweather)
4. Dethroned 30yo undefeated, heavily avoided power puncher Thurman for the WBA Welterweight title despite being 40yo
Therefore, ALL things considered, Manny is definitely the superior fighter and the fact that he's achieved what he has despite being the much SMALLER man and starting his career 22lbs LOWER than Mayweather is testament to this.
Straight FACTS!

Southpawright Bro let it go...you're better than this. There's a reason why literally EVERYBODY in this thread thinks Pacquiao is a superior fighter to Mayweather!Comment

manny started at 108 because he went pro as a 16 year old kid thus destroying all of your argument. Ofc he was going to be tiny
Superior my arse. manny took only TWO rounds4th and 6th against Floyd
and manny got knocked out by Marquez and schooled by him before
In addition to losing to Jeff HornAnd Timmeh Bradley since you’re now counting robberies are victories

Geez, old stuff to be arguing about. Floyd and Manny fought once and Floyd won, not in spectacular fashion but he won comfortably.
Manny and JMM fought 4 times. Record books have it 1 draw, 2 decision victories for Manny and one KO win for JMM. The first 3 fights had controversial decisions that could have gone either way. Both fighters have been accused of steroid usage yet both have never tested positive. Both Manny and JMM are boxing greats and have victories against each other.
Manny and JMM have always been respectful with their words towards each other yet fanboys are always the ones crying about this or that and hurling insults at both champs unable to cope with their hero's loss or losses.
Though Manny is revered and loved by more people than Floyd might be, Floyd beat Manny the night they fought each other. All 3 fighters are Hall of Famers and their accomplishments and victories are sealed and set.
Respect the sport you love and respect every fighter who has stepped in the ring....
